We are so excited to introduce our first vendor an artist who will be joining us on April 18th at the Spring-tacular EXPO and Craft Show!
Janna Kozoub is a Richmond Hill artist who has a unique vision that allows her to see the world from multi-cultural and multidimensional perspective. Janna has three passions: nature, animals and art. All her impressions are reflected in her art!
From masterful large scale canvasses to small precious finely crafted jewelry, she opens up a world of passion, love and beauty, captures your imagination and never lets it go. Janna’s paintings are created in a special technique in a dualist style which engages two entities in a Yin-Yang relationship.
Janna strings allegory throughout all of her work, which is presented in many series. Abstract art that epitomizes our existence, even moments of life that one can relate to on a personal level…and much, much more. However these paintings all encompass a single concept-they transmit a message to the viewer, each painting has an idea behind it one that is then relayed in visual form back to the observer.
Janna’s Artist Statement:
“My works convey underwater rocks, things not visible to a naked eye, things that we very often do not even notice. They reflect the character of my subject matter.”
Janna has her studio in Richmond Hill, and is an active member of the Art Society King. She is also a member of King’s Craft Studio and SOYRA. Her latest artwork is currently on display at the Barristers Lounge Exhibition in Newmarket and Curious Minds Exhibition at the Aurora Cultural Center (a juried show). Janna is currently working on a new series of oil on canvas paintings inspired by the Music of Vivaldi, and her work from this series was chosen by jury and will be displayed at the Richmond Hill Center for the Performing Arts as part of York Region Cultural Summit Visual Art Gallery 2020!
