Shout out to @ctv @ctvvancouver to voice our #ReopenBCWeddings movement at last night’s CTV News at 6pm. After 48 hours of our first video, we made to the media. This has been a industry team work. We will keep pushing and keep the momentum going. We can’t afford to wait till Feb 16 updates. Immediate actions need to be taken now by Dr. Bonnie Henry and her team @governmentofbc. If we wait any longer, the whole year is gone. This is our 3rd, we can’t wait it any more. Bring back weddings. Seated wedding receptions don’t mean parties. We have done them past two years safely, time to bring the Covid safety plans back, so our couples can get married, and we can go back to work.

We don’t need new Covid plans, all you need is to bring back those Covid guidelines. We need the guidelines to work within now, instead a complete closure. It is time to bring back the weddings with a Covid plan instead of shutting off our entire industry completely. Give us a plan to follow, we can do it right, so our couples can get married, we can go back to work. If you can have a Covid plan for the church to open, if you can have a Covid plan for the restaurant to open, if you can have a Covid plan for the sports event to reopen, why we are left out and being forgotten. Last year, we did 47 weddings. Every single one we have followed your rules, those rules worked. From remaining seated, wearing masking except eating at the tables, to 10 people limit, to 50 people limit, to 50% capacity, to double vaccine enforcement. There weren’t any single Covid case among the 47 weddings we did. We are here to follow the rules, to be cooperative, there are so many options and Covid plans can be placed into place than simply shutting of our industry completely. We are not big corporates or organizations, sure we don’t have a big voice, we are just small business owners who work really hard to support our families, to protect our dreams and passion. We need your actions to bring back weddings.
