First thing

Someone asked me when is the best time to meditate, and I told him “first thing in the morning.” But it’s not because the meditation is going to work better in the morning versus any other time of day. It’s because you work better if you meditate first thing.
If meditation can give you just a little more spaciousness to respond instead of react, to communicate better, to see the best in yourself and others, to make the strongest decisions—and you do that each morning like clockwork—you are going to be unstoppable.
