Throwback to this adorable family photo-shoot last year. This session was gifted to Bernadette, the matriarch of the family, as a birthday present. We met on Thanksgiving Sunday before dinner was served to capture some cute snaps across the street from their home in Inglewood, which has been in the family for generations. These are keepsakes that they can cherish for years to come.

Summer is winding down - I was sooooo busy this year capturing so much live music across downtown YYC. Truly one of the best summers of work for me, and I am so grateful for the opportunities to advance as an artist in this city.

Here's a recent photo of John Rutherford at Century Gardens Park for a Downtown Calgary Activation that I had the immense pleasure to program with . From May thru the end of September we had an abundance of live entertainment at this traditionally passive space in the downtown core of YYC. Plenty of people stopped by on their way home from work to take in the music and catch a few rays before jumping on the C-train. Families utilizing the waterpark close by the stage had another reason to enjoy this recently upgraded space.

Funnily enough, when I first moved to Calgary 5 years ago I called Century Gardens Tower home. The park outside the front doors was not a place anyone would linger for long - unless in the pursuit of a narcotic. I never found it to be that appealing to spend time there, so to see the change in this space is truly phenomenal. This area is home to many new-comers to Calgary, and leaving a positive impression on recent local and international residents is vital and creates a sense of immediate community in the area. Most of the feedback we received thru surveys from guests and artists participating in the program over the summer was incredibly positive, and that is truly music to everyone's ears.

I commend organizations working hard to bring vitality back into the downtown urban core, and I implore everyone to join in on the fun!

Drag events are one of my favorite things to photograph! Here are some of my fav memories from a recent Pride event I was fortunate to capture for Cabaret Calgary at The Attic Bar & Stage in Inglewood. This venue is home to live music, drag, burlesque, comedy and delicious vegan 'zaa! Yas!!!!

Talented Sydney from a mini-shoot a short time ago.

Sydney Zadravec has a talented band that holds a residency at the famed bar The Blues Can in the heart of Music Mile YYC. I feel fortunate to work as a social media manager for the organization that works hard to support the musicians and venues that call Inglewood thru East Village home in Calgary, Alberta. In addition to that work, I am constantly capturing shows and artists that are hard at work in our creative community - that is a huge honor for me.

I see a LOT of live music - taking photos and seeing shows are two of my favorite things to do. And what makes it better is when you get to watch friends having a blast on stage. One of the best shows I've seen in a long time - congrats on an incredible night and amazing release!

My dear friends Raj & Jess invited their little one into the world in January, and I was fortunate to stop by their house to meet this handsome bundle of joy and take a few pictures of the happy new family. There's so many cute ones it was hard to pick just a few to share with you.
I've followed R&J thru every step of their journey together, from engagement, to wedding, to maternity and now to the new chapter of parenthood - it's been a true honor.
