We love our lux lark events but also know that people sometimes want just a bit of lux while enjoying great friends, food, and the outdoors. For these occasions, Lark has created Picnic in the Park. A simplified version of our lux lark in either Riley Park or North Glenmore. These events are great for weekday evenings for a cute date, girls’ night, book club or just because.

Prices start at $300 for a single table set up of up to 6 people and $600 for 2 tables for a set up of up to 12.

Duration: 2 hours
Included: set up and takedown of custom picnic table and curated dry floral arrangement center pieces and tablescape, picnic decor, layered rugs, cushions, and side table.

Yesterday we did an April’s fools story about offering pup picnics, and while we have adjusted our offerings this year, it is not yet for our four legged clientele. We are however, doing a select number of events this year for our two legged clientele to allow us to curate, customize and make each extra special. Do we do weddings and larger events?

Great question! We get lots of inquiries for different events and yes, we do intimate weddings, engagements, engagement parties, bridal showers, birthday celebrations and stagettes and just because events. We love the bigger events as much as the small ones. We have an amazing working agreement with Deane House (featured here) to create one of a kind celebrations for 2 to 30 people in their gardens. And ps - they serve some fabulous food and drinks.

Please note we are not limited to the Deane House location but they are a great choice for a lark event.

We don’t know about you but this past weekend felt amazing! 🙌 . We were finally able to throw a full lark with larger party bookings. We LOVE transforming our clients backyards or urban parks for a wow impact. Just a note, we’re fully set up for parties of up to 20 people. DM us for details.

We’re hiring!!! Our families can’t wait to see us again and in order for that to happen, we at Lark need some help! Please contact us if you think you can keep up with us, love all the details and enjoy creating connections with clients. A few other things when considering this position... must be able work quickly, very mobile, strong and have a large vehicle to transport inventory. Oh, and allow us to think we are as funny as we think we are.

This is a part time position. Hours are dependent on event bookings which generally occur on the evenings and weekends.

Remuneration is a combination of hourly and contract depending on the event set up required.

Here’s a shout out to all the people that have contacted, booked, tagged and enjoyed our picnics in the past few weeks! We knew this business was needed, but we’re so excited about all the support.

On that note, our weekends are booking fast, but if you’re looking for something to do during the week (ahem, kids will be back in school next Tuesday 🙌), take advantage of a free afternoon for a picnic, or a break from the routine with a weeknight cinema.

Picnic Date Season Has Begun!

Would you like to hear a little story? We have friends who since the beginning of their dating life have taken turns planning epic date experiences for each other. The two of them have done some of the best adventures and experiences together. We’re always envious and in awe of the dates they plan for one another.

Right now, it might seem like the ability to plan an epic, thoughtful or even romantic date is a little limiting with indoor and patio dining closed, events and concerts out of the question along with a whole list of other things. But the one thing that isn’t closed is us and we offer the ability for those wanting to stay a while with someone and experience a carefree moment the ability to do so in some super romantic spots.

What about Eats???

1. Support local and pick up your fave eats from the local takeaway restaurant  

or

2. Simply show up and have us coordinate yummy charcuterie boxes.   

We are able to book date picnics with as little as a few days notice. And pssst….we even have some super cute additional date ideas that you can incorporate to create an entire experience.

LET’S TALK LARK THEMES

There are many themes for an amazing picnic but we settled on 4. Why 4? Is it because there are 4 sisters in our family and each theme suits a different lady 🤔. And if so which one would suit each gal? Such a good question, we’re not sure we even know and maybe a little unfair since the fourth sister is on the side cheering us on. Take a gander through the themes and see which one you like most and why.

OK SO HOW ARE YOU REALLY DOING?

It really is.
Some of our favourite afternoons are spent simply throwing down a blanket, feeling the grass under our feet, sun on our backs, enjoying a few nibbles and pausing under the big blue sky while the world keeps spinning. Even in the winter, we’ll picnic in the living room by the fire, just to bring in this carefree experience.
