It is with immense sadness we announce the passing of our employee and dear friend, Stacie Roper. We, at Special Event Rentals – Calgary were so lucky to get to work with and alongside her every day.

Stacie lit up the room with her bright and contagious smile. She always made people feel immediately comfortable in her presence. Stacie had an amazing ability to be truly present in every conversation – she listened intently and engaged with such meaningful questions showing just how much she cared for every person she entered into conversation with.

We have had the pleasure and joy to work with Stacie for 8 years here at SER. She has always been our biggest cheerleader – for the company, her co-workers, and our customers. She had impeccable attention to detail. And customer service and sales were her jam. She loved working with the clients of SER and would always go out of her way to make a customer’s day and event the best.

Stacie never held back on compliments – she was always so quick to point out the positive. As we move forward without Stacie physically present, we would love to carry on the positivity she brought to the world so we ask that you pay it forward and make the effort like Stacie did to make the world a better place one compliment at a time.

→ Providing answers to customer inquiries and offering helpful rental solutions (via email, phone, and walk-in)
→ Provide customers with quotations and/or reservations as needed and follow-up in a timely manner (within 24 hours)
→ Learn the rental process for tenting, staging, pipe & drape, and any other large rental items
→ Respond to all emails, phone calls, and web quotes in a timely manner (within the work day).
→ Arrange billing and process credit card payments for sales and rentals.
→ Obtain and process information given by client to assist and/or solve any issues
→ Learn Point of Rental (POR)/Inventory System and Party CAD
→ Build and maintain client relationships in a professional manner

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
→ Minimum 1 year experience within sales
→ Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
→ Strong computer skills within Outlook and Microsoft Office and quick learner in other applications
→ Organized, motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment a must
