ROKA 🤍 One of the most significant pre-wedding ceremonies in Punjabi weddings, Roka quite literally translates to “Stop”, and signifies that the couple have stopped looking for the one as they have now found each other. It is the couple’s official announcement of their relationship to the world and a chance for their families to meet for the first time.

The Posh & Peony team planned Jaismine and Charanjot’s intimate Roka Ceremony at their home in Conrich, Alberta. From designing the backdrop with a hanging floral installation to perfectly match the couple’s outfits, finding a photography team to capture all the wholesome moments to custom gift baskets we were able to provide a truly personalized experience✨

STAMPEDE MELA ✨

An ode to indian festivals and melas filled with western charm. We took vibrant and fun to a whole new level with this colourful outdoor space. When we think of a south asian, festival or fair, we immediately think bright colours and an inviting space for all! This is exactly what we tried to achieve with the help of multicoloured marigolds, vibrant tassels, exotic florals and colourful furniture 🧡

Mehendi, aka Henna ceremony is one of the most fun events of South Asian weddings. The bride, her family and friends, all come together to get mehendi applied on their hands while they sing, dance and have a great time together. Mehendi is an event that is full of bright colours and vibrance. However, we LOVED the idea of a contemporary mehendi done with whites and lilacs. Wearing a lilac jumpsuit gave our bride a soft and feminine look & on top of that, it put the focus on the beautiful and intrecate bridal mehendi adorned on her. At Posh & Peony, we love and strive for uniqueness and this bride was IT 🤍✨

Cannot believe that the day is finally here! After months of preparation and planning, today is one of the first events for these two and our first official wedding of 2023!!

Our favourite part about wedding planning so far has been meeting our couples and building genuine connections. We’ve worked with Rushali and Nav over the past couple months getting ready for their big day and we cannot wait to share more from their wedding events coming up!

Hi, my name is Asmeet and I am the co-founder of Posh & Peony Events! My friends would describe me as the most hilarious person they know. (pls don’t ask anyone to confirm this statement)

In my VERY limited free time, I am most likely chasing sunsets while dreaming of the ocean (fact of the day: I can’t swim). Being a virgo is a major personality trait .. but let’s be real, I am just a perfectionist. Regardless of the task, I am always pushing myself to reach perfection and nothing less.

I am a friend who says that she’s always there and actually is always there (a true ride or die), which is exactly what i strive to be for my couples and clients! 🤍✨

Hi, My name is Akanksha and I am the co-founder of Posh & Peony Events! Extra, bubbly & particular are words my friends will use to describe me and I will add funny to that list as-well.

I have watched all seasons of Bridgerton more times than I would like to admit and fawn over everything pink and bright. I never say no to food or drinks and love my solo bike-and-podcast dates. Once I decide to do something, there is no such thing as rest, pain or discomfort when it comes to getting it done.

Just as I would for my loved ones, my main goal with Posh & Peony is creating special and lasting memories for my couples and clients 🤍✨
