Bob Chartier and Cathy Checora are Calgary-based songwriters. They have a unique vocal collaboration with Bob on guitar, Cathy on cello, ukulele and whistling.This concert will feature Chartier and Checora's original songs along with a few of their favourite covers.

Soprano Lauren Woods, tenor Spencer Britten, and accordionist Penny Sanborn come together to present an Italian concert. The Italian music will include traditional pieces like O Sole Mio, arias like Puccini’s O Mio Babbino Caro and duets like Verdi’s Libiamo from La Traviata.

The presentation of young, emerging artists has become a hallmark of the ProArts@Noon Concert Series.

Kaslyn Chan is a 12 year old, eighth grade student at Bearspaw Christian School. Kaslyn completed her Level 10 RCM Piano exam in June 2024, receiving First Class Honours with Distinction. She made her professional debut with the Prosecco String Quintet in January 2024, playing Stamitz’s Concerto in F Major.

Joel Cook is 14 years old and he is in Grade 10 at Bishop Carroll High School. The achievement that Joel is most proud of is performing Mozart’s Concerto in D minor, K. 466, with the Rocky Mountain Symphony Orchestra in January of 2024 – the prize for winners in their competition.

There Is Room Duo
Currently a member of the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra, violinist Lindsey Herle has played with several other Canadian orchestras, including the Hamilton Philharmonic, Calgary Philharmonic, and the Victoria Symphony.

Calgary-based pianist Dr. Elizabeth Clarke is active as a performer, collaborator, and teacher. She has performed numerous solo and chamber recitals in Canada and the United States, and has been featured as a concerto soloist with the University of Victoria orchestra.
