Lilo K Design / September 2022

As some of you are aware, my husband and I welcomed a beautiful baby girl back in August. With that change, came a change of heart for me. After months of thinking and debating, I have made the choice to permanently shut down my business. With over 10 years of me being an entrepreneur, taking care of my family has taken over my priorities.

To all my past clients, thank you for everything. For all the kind words, the laughs, and the memories. Thank you for always trusting my talent and for allowing me to be part of your big day; wedding stationery has always been more than just paper to me, and you all saw that.

To all my family and friends, thank you for always being there for me. For always helping when needed and for always pushing me to follow my dreams.

When ordering your invitations, always consider ordering about 5-10 extra invitations. It’s easier, faster, and cheaper to order the extras right from the outset instead of having to re-order. You’ll be grateful you planned ahead for when Aunt Marie demands an extra wedding invitation for her scrapbook.

Thermography vs. Digital Printing

Thermography is a method of printing wedding invitations that results in a raised ink. You can see the elevation of the printing and it has a glossy or shimmery appearance.

Digital printing is perfect for printing colorful, modern wedding invitations. Digital printing uses high-resolution, digital color to print images with excellent quality. The result is vivid color and incredible detail. While digital printing is less traditional than thermography, it’s become one of the most common methods of printing wedding invitations because of its affordable price and endless color options.

What does quality mean to you?

A lot goes on behind the scenes when designing, printing, assembling, and packaging your stationery that is not documented on here. We have an airtight quality control system in place to ensure that all stationery meets the Lilo K Design standard.

If your stationery is not printed to the level of quality we like, it gets reprinted. If its assembled slightly crooked, we redo it.

When you receive your stationery, we want to ensure you are 100% happy with the full order.

Vellum pockets are a big trend this wedding season.
This pocket style is great for invitations that have multiple inserts; this way you can place your inserts in the pocket and no have them loose within your mailing envelope.

As my birthday approaches in the next couple of days (5 – but who’s counting 😉) I sit back and reflect on this past year. And as hectic as this last year was, I can honestly say I am proud of how far I’ve come.

I had such a hard time prioritising myself and what I needed to do to be a healthier me. I put myself last E V E R Y T I M E. It took a couple of breakdowns, a lot of self reflecting and a bucket of tears, but I can honestly say, I’ve learnt. Learned that for me to help others, I needed to be 100%. I needed to learn how to say no, prioritize myself and my family and learn this thing called “balance”
