We loved all the details from L&M’s wedding. The elegance of the centrepieces, the Moscow mule seating chart wall, all the baby’s breath, and the most amazing after party. We loved how they added in so many moment’s throughout the day that were just for them, including a final dance as the night came to a close.

The competition was fierce, with judges noting the high calibre of production and creativity. “The level of innovation and excellence this year was truly outstanding, reflecting the industry’s resilience and creativity,” said Stacy Wyatt, Founder and Creative Director of Canadian Special Events.
Winners will be announced live at the May 8 Gala in Toronto, where the event industry’s best will gather to celebrate their achievements.

The Search Foundation was formed in 1997 to assist event, meetings and catering professionals faced with a life threatening illness. Since that time it has expanded to include not only illness, but also catastrophic occurrences.

Weddings bring together a unique blend of magic, from the dress to the flowers, to the music, to the first dance, it also brings together people. The couple decided to use their wedding to raise awareness and funds for Ukraine’s reconstruction efforts. They invited close friends, family, Ukrainian celebrities, and international government dignitaries with the hope of providing immediate support for Ukraine’s energy and material needs in rebuilding from the war with Russia. The wedding provided guests with a brief escape from the day-to-day reality of the war back home as they witnessed a dance in the clouds.

Every wedding starts with a couple in love… And these gentlemen were not only in love, when they started dating, same s*x marriage was not at all legally recognized.
They waited almost 20 years to be married. This award is totally for them and because of them. We honour their commitment to each other!
It started in 2019, was postponed THREE times, redesigned THREE times, and by the time 2022 rolled around, it was absolutely worth waiting for.
It takes a village to do any event, this one had a CITY of the most amazing and LONG list of vendors (see credits below). Thank you for diving in wholeheartedly with us on this one. Your passion for excellence is what made this wedding one that will live with our souls forever. The LFW team shares this award with you amazing humans.
And last but not least, LFW has some of the most bad ass wedding planners and support team gals around. Thank you to our entire LFW family for all helping to make this wedding a reality. Special shout outs to who started planning and designing this one with me back in 2019… and to for nailing the heavy lifting and bringing it across the finish line.
