Previously we talked about good raves in Calgary, then we have to mention the rising collective The Under Realm—a group of four young Calgarians, Benny, Brent, Ryan, and Gabe, who have been throwing some crazy underground tunnel raves in the past few months. Their passion for lighting and music not only creates an incredible vibe, but their attention to detail and caring for the people, is something we respect deeply and we are lucky to be part of their parties and have fun with our friends. And for this event, we’re excited to be partnering with this talented crew to transform @ratedultralounge Into a club you have never seen before. 😎

Our definition, RAVE isn’t about how big the productions are or the size of the crowd; it’s about connecting with like-minded ravers, sharing good music, creating good events, with everyone having a great time. OR, maybe we’re just old school 🙃

For a year, we searched for good rave parties—ones run by passionate people bringing good music, good people, and good vibes. That’s exactly what DJ Danger & BRNT have been creating here in Calgary. Their energy, love for the scene, and ability to connect people through music make them the perfect fit for our anniversary, besides, Hard Groove is dope! 😆

BRNT plays with an intentional randomness, layering fast paced percussion with dissonant harsh sounds all over pounding bass lines. A culmination of past experiences has led him to find a unique style of hardgroove, blending both high energy thumping tunes & deep rhythmic tracks to craft non-stop grooves.
DJ Danger
Dj Danger sets out to mix with one goal in mind: Dance Floor Destruction. His blend of relentless hard dance, melting acid and hot techno remix’s always keeps the dance floor in action. After playing a hard techno set opening for French Dj Lessss; Danger plans to pull from a more hypnotic, deep cut library accompanying his good friend BRNT in an exploration of Hard Groove.

Psyuki was definitely love at first sight. We remember the first time we saw him play—we were instantly hooked on his sound. For those who loved his Psy Trance sets, you’re in for a treat with his Techno alias. Psyuki is bringing his Psy roots into hypnotic Techno, creating a sound journey like no other.
We love seeing talented DJs like Psyuki who is pushing the boundaries and exploring new styles, especially when they add their own twist, meanwhile still keeping it underground and fresh.

On Key4050:
Key4050 is the powerhouse Trance duo of @joc81 and @bryankearney . Since their debut in 2017, they’ve crafted a unique sound that blends underground Techno with Trance—a combination that felt refreshingly new back then and still remains unmatched. Their ability to produce this distinct, driving sound makes Key4050 one of a kind. WIth Bochan playing this tribute set to their music is the perfect way to kick off our 1-year anniversary party with an underground vibe.
On Bochan:
Apart from Key4050, we’ve got to talk about Bochan! His love for Trance and his trust in us brought us together this past year, leading to an incredible journey of collaboration. Watching him grow as a DJ has been a joy, and people are starting to recognize his passion and dedication to the music is truly amazing. Honestly, Calgary wouldn’t feel the same without this great Trance DJ and we probably won't be able to start. We’re so glad to have found Bochan. Thank you, Bochan, for bringing those incredible sets we’ve missed so much!

Although Bochan has only been performing live for a little over 5 years, his love for music has been a lifelong passion. Having enjoyed energetic music since his youth, it's no surprise that he appreciates all genres. However, his true affinity lies with Trance. Whether it's the underground scene or the main stage, Bochan's sets range from 120 to 150 BPM, delivering magical tracks that touch the soul. Based in Calgary, he is deeply immersed in the dance music community, not only as a performer and promoter but also as a dedicated fan. Whether he's on stage or in the crowd, Bochan's presence is unmistakable.

When we decided to move to Calgary, there was one big question: "How will we meet anyone if we don’t know anyone there?" Our answer was? RAVE. 🎶🎵
Leaving behind our friends and family was tough, and starting fresh in a new country felt like a huge leap. But was it the right decision? Absolutely. The friends we’ve met since coming here—thanks to rave and music—prove that.🥰
From our very first event, many of you took a chance on us, trusted us, and came out to support. You introduced yourselves, said hi, and 1 year later, we became friends. We are very thankful for that. 🙏🏻
Technically speaking, this is Rave Mama’s 7th year as a brand—6 years in Hong Kong and now 1 year in Calgary. Sharing the music we love and throwing great parties for the people has always been our mission, and with your continued support, we aim to keep that going. 💪🏻
