✨Choose the Right Location: Opt for a bright and airy space for your Haldi ceremony to ensure everyone feels comfortable and there’s plenty of natural light for those Insta-worthy photos.

✨Wear the Right Attire: Embrace the tradition by donning vibrant yellow or gold-colored attire that complements the joyous spirit of the occasion. Don’t forget to accessorize with floral jewelry for that extra pop of color!

Yesterday was a whirlwind adventure as we made our way to Toronto for the highly esteemed Canadian Event Awards. This prestigious event is held annually by the and aims to celebrate and acknowledge the industry’s finest across Canada.

I am beyond honored and humbled to share that we we won the Wedding Professional of the Year award!

This recognition is a testament to the unwavering support of our amazing clients, the collaborative nature of the vendors we have the privilege of working with, and, above all, the unmatched dedication of my extraordinary team.

Whether embracing tradition or simply loving the intricate beauty of henna, your bridal Mehndi is a canvas of cultural significance and personal style. Here's how to prepare for the magic, both before and after: ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Before:
✨ Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate: Ensure your skin is hydrated from within by drinking plenty of water in the days leading up to your Mehndi. Hydrated skin absorbs henna better and results in a richer, longer-lasting stain.
✨ Exfoliate Gently: A day or two before your Mehndi, exfoliate your skin gently to remove any dead cells and ensure a smooth canvas for the henna application. Avoid harsh scrubs that could irritate your skin.
✨ Choose Comfortable Clothing: Opt for loose, comfortable clothing on the day of your Mehndi to allow the henna to dry without smudging. You'll want to avoid tight-fitting garments that could rub against the henna and distort the design.

After:
✨Be Patient: Once the henna paste has dried, resist the temptation to touch it or smudge it. Allow it to flake off naturally to reveal the intricate design underneath. This process usually takes several hours.

✨Avoid Contact With Water: To prolong the life of your Mehndi, avoid contact with water for at least 12-24 hours after application. Water can cause the henna to fade prematurely, so try to keep your hands dry during this time.
✨Moisturize Regularly: After the henna has dried and flaked off, moisturize your skin regularly to keep it hydrated and help maintain the vibrancy of the stain. Using natural oils like coconut or almond oil can also enhance the color of the Mehndi.

The bride’s desire to incorporate a checkerboard pattern into the design sparked a creative collaboration with our team and @nadiyavdesign , resulting in an elevated design concept that we all fell in love with. The delicate florals gracefully intertwined with the checkerboard motif allowed us to achieve the perfect blend of sophistication and creativity. With flowers taking center stage, @flowerartistry worked their magic, transforming the venue into a blooming paradise. Personalized menus, featuring each guest’s name, added a thoughtful touch to the tables while the elevated crystal candle holders served as an exquisite centerpieces that casted a warm, luxurious glow throughout the space.
