is feeling the heat after a sudden 22% tax increase, adding $1.4M in new annual fees. 👇

The change, introduced with just 8 hours’ notice, affects Big Rock far more than other, smaller brewers, with the company now paying up to $0.81 per litre—while smaller competitors continue paying just $0.10. 👀

The province’s new fee structure, introduced the day after the budget was tabled, lowers the production threshold for higher fees, hitting Big Rock hard while leaving most small brewers unaffected.

Moosehead Breweries () has launched the Presidential Pack, a limited-edition crate containing 1,461 cans of beer—one for every day of a four-year term. 🫎🍁

Priced at $3,490 plus tax, the packs sold out within 24 hours, with a waitlist quickly forming.

The Saint John, N.B.-based brewery, Canada’s oldest independent brewer, says the promotion tapped into national pride, with customers purchasing for Canada Day and other large gatherings.

While currently available only in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Ontario due to trade restrictions, a recent federal agreement could soon expand access across Canada. 🇨🇦
