We gather at Durand Bridal to celebrate your upcoming special day in the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy, including the Siksika, Piikani and Kainai Nations; the Stoney-Nakoda, including the Chiniki, Bearspaw and Wesley Nations; and the Tsuut’ina Nation. Southern Alberta is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.

Durand Bridal is located in the lands where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. This site has long been called Mohkinsstsis by the Blackfoot, also Wîchîspa by the Nakoda, Guts’ists’i by Tsuut’ina, and it is the birthplace of the city of Calgary.

Durand Bridal will be making a donation for every dress chosen this weekend to Reconciliation Canada - An Indigenous-led charitable organization that catalyzes meaningful relationships through values-based dialogue, leadership and action. In honour of the Children that never made it home and the families of all children that were impacted and continue to be impacted by Residential schools across Canada.

We are looking for a person to join our team in our Calgary boutique. Our consultants have a love for Bridal and evening wear / grad fashion and for helping our clients have an amazing experience while finding their perfect dress. The successful candidate will be able to provide exceptional customer service in a high energy environment and assist our clients in fulfilling their dream for their wedding day, graduation, or special event. Other duties may include assisting with scheduling appointments, meeting with designers, client follow up, and steaming / dress preparation. Candidates must be able to work weekends.

Job Requirements
* Excellent customer service
* Positive, out going, and upbeat attitude
* Sales experience in a high end sales / bridal environment
* Commitment to ongoing training and career development
* Working and thriving in team of self-motivated individuals
* Knowledge of fashion and bridal trends
* Proficient computer and social media skills
* Strong verbal and written skills
* Ability to lift 10lbs (dresses) and stand on feet for extended periods while assisting with clients

1 to 2 years experience in Bridal / Formal Wear sales an asset
