We are one week away from this super fun hometown Christmas evening!! The vibe was so fun last year having a market while everyone roamed in and out of businesses up and down main street with the fires burning lining the road with the candy cane lights! Especially getting to watch the parade from our windows! Will post a lineup soon along with other info about hot spots for free hot drinks around town and other events going on! Admission to our market is $1 and free for kids. 🔥

I may have just gotten the goods to another one of our amazing summer weddings, so I’m committed to sharing the rest of these incredible shots captured! One week away!! Escape the wind warnings and enjoy a warm Thanksgiving ambiance at Freddy’s! It’s going to be a super fun vibe with live painting on display, permanent jewelry, tattoos AND piercings being offered by various vendors and of course homemade baking for your family’s needs and all the other fun beautiful things to peruse to get your Christmas shopping started just a tad early. (I collect and shop year-round and think it’s the secret tbh but I know there’s some who sure don’t!)

We mayyyy even get a live visit from Sven and Seven, the accordion player duo here straight from the snowy Alps of Sveden. 😆 An entertaining crew and accent that will not want to be missed!! ? Free admission! 💥 new vendors!!

What a gift it is to be able to scroll the professional photos captured at Freddy’s, I haven’t even allowed myself to cruise through and download the other half bc these first few all ready killed me dead with cuteness. 💀 💀 💀 I had to include the first photo with the beautiful mother daughter duo who transformed Freddy’s into the most amazing space!! Just.WOW!!! 😍😍😍

And the photo of the first look with that dashing group of guys in the most awesome suits who clearly love the adorable bride!?! Again…dead. Cutest ever. 🥹🥹🥹 🫠🫠🫠

Another new school year, another new 5:30am beautiful sunshiney session with Natisha Hague Bevans!! Two different sessions which run at the same time. The first is M T Th and the step session is Fridays! Sign up for one or both! Inquire about optional equipment if you’d like to level up or down! But steps, mats, and 5, 8 and 10 pound weights for the most part can be provided.

I was lucky enough to be sent some professional sneak peeks of this amazing wedding! I’m hoping someone jumps in immediately to tag the photographer bc 😍😍😍. It was so painful to not be able to attend this wedding in Freddy’s. 😩 As a friend put it, Freddy’s was shining!! So many details that I’m looking forward to sharing more of!! thank you thank you for choosing us!! 🩵 LOVING that first look expression! 😍 Cody was seeing heart eyes for sure! (And thanks to for sharing your creative magic touch with us!!)

Shop shares are here!! I’m in and out of service driving trying to fit in all the camping and all the work in just in time to be ready to party this Saturday at Freddy’s (by DQ) in Cardston, Alberta! It seems every other busy vendor and marketgoer is doing the same with so few Canadian summer weekends. I’m so excited about this lineup we were able to curate including 11 new vendors! ❤️ And yes, you’re seeing below right, we will have a tiny tattoo vendor! So come with your ideas ready and also get your jewelry welded on forever with your besties at the same market! So many great stops!! Watch our stories for more detailed shares.

One week away!!! The summer is always so busy and I was worried there for a minute but we have found lots of new vendors who were able to make it and have such a perfect mix of wares, it’s going to be so great!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Freddy’s Drop-In is officially 2 yrs old! And our 2xweekly meals for patrons of the Moses Lake Homeless shelter and others in need have happened for a year now. We came so.close to having to scale back to just once a week again, but with the combined help of church and community, we were able to sustain them. 🩵

I want to officially recognize the Cardston Alberta and the Cardston Alberta West Stakes of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for funding the groceries used by our volunteers to provide the meals served Mondays and Wednesdays from 10am to 11:30am. And this support has allowed arrangements to be made through the Town of Cardston Town Council to further sustain the program in the way of providing some rental financial support for the program! 🩵

In addition to the lunches provided, Freddy’s also has been donating use of the space for 3x weekly AA support meetings (Monday and Wednesday at 11:30am and Fridays at 10am) and once weekly Al-Anon meetings (inquire for time as it changes.) This allows the patrons in need of these services much-needed touch points with our volunteers 3x a week, and we would LOVE a little more financial support for the 156 hrs/year this program uses.

My heart is always bursting with experiences I wish I could share, but I get overwhelmed with how and usually just say nothing. 😩 Around holidays to honour the loved ones of the patrons who have passed on we often write their names on hearts like this and display them. You can tell it means a lot. We say their names. They share stories. Lots of tear-filled eyes as we help lift their heart hearts just a little.

It touched my heart so much to see one of the patrons write “Long Live Freddy’s” on one of the hearts. It’s no secret I’ve often felt we needed to sell Freddy’s. It just doesn’t make any financial sense for us to keep personally carrying it. And always personally working really hard to book weddings or fill a market for what amount it does earn. I miss the days of “just” working at my one job, but donations to our program are lifegiving for our goals here. And we see a light at the end as continues our renovations!🤞🏻🙏🏻🩵

I couldn’t help but post this beautiful peek of the back room we’ve been working on. This was an apartment decades ago, and we can’t wait to see it used as an Airbnb/Bridal area going forward finally! The walls are just.so.beautiful. 😍 Not to mention the BRIDE!! But more of that to come! Thank you so much 🔥

For anyone who missed our stories yesterday, we had some more big changes happen this week at Freddy’s! Every single storefront window is now replaced. 🙌🏻 These stairs were obviously added as an afterthought as they very weirdly block one of the front entrances and created a very weird crawl space visible through the window! A bunch of old (very local and very Canadian!) various alcohol bottles were left for us to find underneath! I love stuff like that so much, and we felt it was very appropriate to clean up the space and the bottles and leave them on display as a curiousity of sorts. ❤️ 👀 Especially bc they aren’t worth much, (other than fun to look at), but sooner than later we will likely cover it up with a piece of pretty wood or a vinyl/frosting treatment to the window.

We are early into our fifth year of ownership with this adventure which I can hardly believe. It feels like we’ve simultaneously come so far and also achieved nothing at all. 😆 Each day with this building brings overwhelm and regret, and we’ve just fully accepted it! It has all the potential in the world and is so incredibly beautiful, and it deserves owners with huge budgets and time to manage the vision of it all, but we are all the owners it’s got for now, (with full-time careers& 5kids), slow and steady it is!

We’ve got high hopes to somehow afford renovating the upstairs back rooms back into an apartment of sorts to be an AIRBNB by next year (also to be used for wedding/party rentals). 🙌🏻❤️

As always, if you think you can support our goals here in any way by hosting any sort of function or business venture at Freddy’s, we are all ears!! The main floor is available daily and I’d just love to see a soup and sandwhich/bakery co-op coffee shop of sorts open up there farmer’s market style. 😍

And lastly, I’ll be updating more soon about some great upcoming changes to the Drop-In program, but until then I just wanted to be sure and announce that if you’re interested in donating to our program in any way, donations can be made through the Town of Cardston’s Food Fund program and charitable receipts are provided! ❤️ Every.dollar.counts, truly! 😘
