The City of Charlottetown is conducting a review of its Zoning and Development Bylaw and is seeking public feedback.

The updated bylaw will serve as the regulatory framework for land use development in Charlottetown, introducing zoning categories and corresponding design guidelines. It will be informed and guided by the City’s Official Plan, which is currently pending approval.

Public consultation is a key component of the bylaw review. Join us for a Public Open House to learn more and share your input!

Date: Monday, April 7, 2025
Time: 5:30 – 8 p.m.
Location: Charlottetown Library and Leaning Centre, 97 Queen St.

As part of the City’s commitment to the federal Housing Accelerator Fund (HAF) program, the intended changes to the bylaw will focus on enabling a broader range of housing solutions and streamlining approval processes to reduce red tape associated with development approvals.

Through the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP), community organizations host free tax clinics where volunteers complete tax returns for people with a modest income and a simple tax situation.

We are pleased to say that the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program clinic will once again be operating out of the Charlottetown Library Learning Centre beginning March 6. Details in poster below.

Note that this is one of many locations across the province offering this service. Learn more at https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/tax/individuals/community-volunteer-income-tax-program.html
