It is with great disappointment that we are announcing that this year’s event, the 2024 Santa’s Visit to 83 Lincoln Road, is going to be CANCELLED! We want everyone to know that we have not come to this decision quickly nor lightly. As some of you may be aware, “Santa”, who just happened to have turned 74 yesterday, had a knee replacement this past spring. He is recovering from the surgery but his knee is nowhere near 100% yet. 10 days after surgery he ended up in ICU with a huge blood clot extending into both lungs. We’re told it’s a miracle he survived, cuz most people don’t. Although he’s recovered, he’s still not 100%, but he is MUCH better than he was in the summer! On top of that, as if that wasn’t enough, Mrs. Claus is having brain surgery in London on Dec.2. There’s just no way we’ll be recovered enough to host this event this year. We are very disappointed and very apologetic to everyone that was looking forward to attending this year. We look forward every year to seeing you as well! We so enjoy seeing the children…of ALL ages! We trust everyone will understand.
We have truly enjoyed hosting this event in the past, and we, and the Salvation Army, are genuinely grateful for each and every donation! Each and every one of you have helped make someone’s Christmas a little extra special, whose may not have been if not for your generous donations. Thank you so much.
