Santa’s Annual Visit to Lincoln Rd. Chatham

It is with great disappointment that we are announcing that this year’s event, the 2024 Santa’s Visit to 83 Lincoln Road, is going to be CANCELLED! We want everyone to know that we have not come to this decision quickly nor lightly. As some of you may be aware, “Santa”, who just happened to have turned 74 yesterday, had a knee replacement this past spring. He is recovering from the surgery but his knee is nowhere near 100% yet. 10 days after surgery he ended up in ICU with a huge blood clot extending into both lungs. We’re told it’s a miracle he survived, cuz most people don’t. Although he’s recovered, he’s still not 100%, but he is MUCH better than he was in the summer! On top of that, as if that wasn’t enough, Mrs. Claus is having brain surgery in London on Dec.2. There’s just no way we’ll be recovered enough to host this event this year. We are very disappointed and very apologetic to everyone that was looking forward to attending this year. We look forward every year to seeing you as well! We so enjoy seeing the children…of ALL ages! We trust everyone will understand.
We have truly enjoyed hosting this event in the past, and we, and the Salvation Army, are genuinely grateful for each and every donation! Each and every one of you have helped make someone’s Christmas a little extra special, whose may not have been if not for your generous donations. Thank you so much.

Another year, another successful Santa’s Drive-By event is complete, and it’s time to start preparing for next year’s event. Hmmm, on second thought, maybe Santa and the gang will take a few days off before we start on next year’s event. We will have more photos to post shortly, once our photographer-Elf has finished getting them processed.This year was a little slower than last year’s event but we certainly had fun, and if the smiles on everyone’s faces (especially the children) is any indication, I’d say everyone attending had fun as well.
We are so pleased to announce that with everyone’s very generous donations, we raised $635.00, and a trunk of food and toys!! I know that the Salvation Army is very grateful for your donations!
A gentleman dropped off a donation to the Church this week in the name of our event, which helped us attain this total! Thank you very much! A HUGE thank you to each and every one of you who attended and donated, whether it was food, toys or change in the Red Kettle. Santa, Mrs. Claus, the Salvation Army, Capt. Shield, and the rest of the gang is so genuinely grateful! We hope to see you all again next year! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year !! Stay tuned for some photos in the very near future!

Are you excited? Well, Santa and the gang sure are!! We’ve been preparing all year and in just four more days our big drive-by event at 83 Lincoln Road in Chatham will be here! We can hardly wait! You won’t want to miss it! You definitely won’t the children to miss it! It’s going to be even bigger and better than last year. We have so many decorations they’ve over-flowed to the neighbours’ yards! But come out and see for yourself! We look forward to seeing you there. Be sure to tell your friends and neighbours as well!

Santa wouldn’t take Mrs. Claus to Chatham’s Santa Claus’ Parade on November 18, so Buddy the Elf, Mrs. Claus and two of their elves “borrowed “ one of Santa’s mini-sleighs and a few reindeers and went to the parade without him! This will teach Santa to leave Mrs. Claus sitting alone at home while he goes to parades without her!

Santa and his elves have a new ride this Christmas. Be sure to attend our event this year, December 17, 2022. For a preview Buddy the elf and The Grinch will be borrowing Santa’s Sleigh for Chatham’s Christmas Parada November 18, 2022.come out out and see us!

This year Salvation Army’s “Capt. Shield” is planning on attending the annual event at 83 Lincoln Road! We know he will have so much fun with Santa, Mrs. Claus, Grinch ….well we don’t if he’ll have fun with the Grinch or not…that’s debatable….Buddy the Elf and the other elves. We know he’ll have fun with the kids! You’re not going to want to miss this event so make sure you keep following us and mark your calendars! It’s just 4 months away

The elves are celebrating with eggnog today! They’re so happy!! They’re running around Santa’s workshop, giggling like a bunch of children!! They finally finished one of Santa’s projects for next Year’s visit to 83 Lincoln Road! The wood Angel that will be erected on the front lawn near the nativity scene. Lights and tinsel will be added at that time…but otherwise it’s done ..and everyone is so happy!!! They can’t wait to see it in all lit up in December! You’ll definitely have to drive by and see it!

Santa’s helpers have been real busy painting this past week. They finished painting the Angel lawn ornament that goes with the Nativity set. They also got the red coat of paint on Santa’s sleigh! It’s hard to believe it’s less than 6 months until this year’s event! We still have so much more to do before December 17th!!! Keep watching for updates!

More great exciting news! This is so exciting!!!!! I can hardly contain myself!!!!
Two more of Santa’s friends have accepted Santa and Mrs. Claus’ invitation to join them and their two elves that attended last year!!!! Yay!!! So it’ll be Mr. & Mrs. Claus, the two Elves from last year, and two surprise guests!!! Who are they??!! Well we can’t tell you right away!! That would spoil the surprise!! 😂😂😂. But you are most welcome to try and guess! We’d love to hear your guesses!! We will respond to your guesses! We might even give some hints if we find you need them!

Everyone loved Santa’s “ride” last year! Well you’re in for a surprise this year!!! Santa’s elves have been busy designing and building a new “ride”…sleigh…for Santa and his friends….for this year’s event. Once nice weather is here…the elves will put the finishing touches (paint etc,) to the sleigh! Make sure you follow us so you can see the final results of Santa’s sleigh!

Santa’s Elves are busy getting ready for this year’s event…December 2022! Believe it or not….it’s only 9 months away! We still have a lot of work to do before then!!! Santa and his little helpers have already accomplished a lot in the past 3 months.
The owner of 79 Lincoln Road is going to let Santa decorate her property. Thank you so much Nancy!!! This way there will be even more area than last year for you to stop and take pictures…IF it’s not too busy and there’s room to park. If not, we would ask that you come back later in the evening. You are even welcome to come back after the event is closed to take pictures! 😊
We have already added many new blow up decorations to our collection! …more lights….Angels…wood ornaments!!!! Fun …fun…fun!!!! You have to come and see…We don’t want to tell you everything and spoil all the fun!!
