I am selling off some of my peony plants this fall for pickup only in Prince Edward County. I planted them 5 years ago as 3/5 eye roots and have been harvesting them for 2 years now and am getting 8-12 stems/per plant and they will only keep growing. Normally when buying peonies, you have to wait 3 years to harvest them but these plants are ready to harvest next spring. Peonies are a larger investment but are extremely low maintenance, produce more stems every year, and are always easy to sell for $2-$4/stem.
10 plant minimum, pickup in early October.

The first of two Growing Beauty workshops with .by.design is happening on June 15 and there are still some spots available!
This half-day, active workshop is for anyone interested in learning about, planning, and implementing naturalistic gardens and using sustainably grown flowers and plants for use in floral design. This workshop will be held on East Lake Farm, surrounded by the beauty of a 8-year naturalistic garden project and commercial flower growing plots.

You might be wondering what all the fuss is about Peaches ‘N Cream. Let me tell you, she is a very special Dahlia! Always the first to start blooming, so much variation within the variety, the most beautiful tones of peach and pink that you just don’t find in another dahlias, great vase life, and can be a hard one to find! We have 13 left!! Invest in a couple and build your own stock!

Jowey Winnie is of my favourite ball dahlias! She’s got rich pink and peach hues with soft lavender tones. She’s such a lavish bloom and has a great vase life! I think she’s an essential variety in a dahlia collection! We still have 20 Jowey Winnie tubers available!

I know everyone is a huge fan of the pinks and peaches, but I think orange is an undervalued Dahlia color! We have some beautiful orange dahlias in the store still, including two of my favorites, Cornel Bronze and Rancho!! Pictured here is mostly Maarn who is one of our very most productive varieties with a great vase life!! Get into orange, people!! 🍊

I fell hard for this beauty, Apricot Star a few years ago! I’m a huge fan of Cactus dahlias and love all the incredible colour variation throughout this variety from champagne to peachy-apricot. Each bloom is so unique!

I want to take a moment to acknowledge we just passed 10k followers! I have a funny relationship with social media and am not always great at being active around here but that doesn’t mean that I’m not incredibly grateful to all of the people following along and supporting our sales and exciting moments. We’re going into our 11th season and although this little business has seen some major changes along the way, I’m so conscious that none of this would be possible without our wonderful customers and virtual friends cheering us on! A note to anyone planning to shop the sale on Friday: we will be closing the online store down at 10 AM EST on Friday morning to enter all of our inventory and reopen with the sale live at 12 PM EST. This means that between 10 AM and 11:59 am Friday morning you won’t be able to browse our varieties that are available. I recommend you do that tonight so you are ready to shop at noon!

We’re so excited to launch this year’s dahlia tuber sale on Friday February 16 at 12pm EST! We have a beautiful selection of blooms for sale this year! Investing in dahlia tubers has the potential to give you hundreds or even thousands of blooms down the road! For each tuber planted you will get multiple tubers when you dig them up in the fall. Plant and save them like this year after year and one tuber will eventually turn into hundreds!

This is Castle Drive! She’s a workhorse in the dahlia patch! A super prolific bloomer with huge perfect ball blooms. I love the variety of colour throughout the flower! Couldn’t live without her in the summer! Fortunately we will have plenty of tubers for sale of her on Friday!
