Originally planned as an Open House to promote the benefits of our community Airport, the first Chilliwack Flight Fest was held Saturday, September 12, 1992. Thousands of Chilliwack residents turned out to stroll among the displays, climb in and out of aircraft, meet and talk with performers, enjoy a summer’s day and an old-fashioned barn-storming airshow experience – all for free! Heading into ou

r 28th airshow season, this remarkable event continues to impress the international airshow industry. Year after year, our continued community support and outstanding sponsoring organizations assist us to host this free admission, family fun event, while offering the opportunity to learn about aircraft and aviation opportunities. The Chilliwack Airshow is one of only a few free admission shows left in North America. To help keep it that way, the only role the public must play is to arrive and enjoy the efforts of our superb volunteer team, cheer on our inspiring performers and spread the word! It’s almost time. This Saturday night is the legendary Hanger Party and Dance in support of Chilliwack Flight Fest which will be the following day.
We have sold a lot of dance tickets, but it is not yet sold out. You still have a chance to get yours. The Exchange Band will be pumping out the hits all night long. We have a DJ spinning tunes between sets to keep the party rolling. We have a very reasonably priced bar and we have food trucks. Combine that with an exclusive night airshow presentation that is exclusively for show goers and you’ve got an event that can’t be beat. Tickets are just $20 plus service charge and are available on Eventbrite.

As our last performer departs the airport and we return the airport to normal operations, we'd like to extend a special thank you to all those who utilize the airport for their regular operations. They all allow us to come in and change the whole layout, restrict flights and have you all over the airport grounds!

Thanks to the businesses of CYCW for supporting our show, the tenants, aircraft owners, pilot's, and airport management for allowing us and supporting us to operate outside of their normal day to day activities. Without the support of all these individuals, businesses and management, we would not be able to host you every year.

Thank you to Chilliwack emergency services for being on site all weekend and ensuring that we are all safe!

Thanks to the residents around the airport, specifically those on Airport Road and Cessna Drive for their patience with us to close the road for parking and making their travels take a little bit longer!

There isn't a more beautiful place to host an airshow than CYCW so we are extremely grateful to those who allow it to happen and those who support the show every year!

Well it’s finally here! It’s Chilliwack Flight Fest weekend! And we are kicking it off this evening with the Hangar dance. Tickets can be purchased at Firkus Aircraft or at www.eventbrite.ca(chilliwack flight fest)
Then tomorrow is the big day… Airshow day! Gates open at 11am and flying starts at 1pm. We hope to see you all there! Don’t forget this is a FREE Airshow!!
