Baboo Balloons is downsizing back into a hobbyists pace.

I am taking some time off right now to rest my mind, body, and soul and spend some much needed time with my family.

During this time, I will be completely unplugged and will not be accepting any new orders.

In the meantime, I will be restructuring my business to only offer event entertainment such as Balloon Twisting, Facepainting, and Glitter Tattoos.

I will no longer be offering helium balloons and will be limiting options for custom-made event decor.

I will be offering DIY balloon courses for my ever so popular balloon grams, garlands, arches, and my go-to balloon decor tips and tricks for any of those who may be interested.

I am very thankful for everyone who has made Baboo Balloons so successful over these last few years.

Let's talk about helium for a second.

Helium has been very hard to source for the last 14 months. There was a world wide helium shortage that affected the distribution of helium.

Helium is used as a coolant for medical devices such as MRI machines and other high powered machinery.

When this shortage happend, all reserves went straight to health care use ( rightfully so) and like all shortages, the price increased. The price did not just double it quadrupled.

I have done my best to remain affordable and true to my personal and business values of providing you with the best event decor, top quality products and most importantly, affordability.

I started offering promos on custom decor. I got to work and came up with some fun new air filled decor options and have been ballooning my heart out ever since, creating fun personalized unique decor for you.

Still with all these fun new options to choose from, helium is still high in demand.

With that being said

I am working on establishing a consistent, affordable and convenient solution right now for you and for my business. So things can get back to the way they were before. Quick, reliable, easy, and affordable.

I still offer helium, but I will not be able to guarantee anything last minute or availability untill I have this all sorted once and for all.

One thing I can promise you is this

I will help you out regardless and make sure you have everything you need for your event and more. Even if it means sending you to my direct local competition!

I am here to help you, from recommendations from balloons, catering, hall rentals, to industry friends that are balloon twsiters and facepainters aswell.

If I can't help you, I will find someone who can!

That is who I am. That is my nature and that is how I chose to run my business.

I will always remain authentic, and you, my customer will always remain the most important person to me and my business.

Without you my business will not prosper 💓

How did this month fly by so quickly?!

I just wanted to pop in and let everyone know, we will be closed from Wednesday June 28th to July 4th.

We will be busy balloon twisting our hearts outs at our local Waterfront Festival and will not be available online or in studio.

We are booking up quick for summer celebrations.

As of now, we will be limiting last minute order requests, and cannot promise availability for anything with less than 2 weeks notice.

Summer is our busiest time filled with balloon twisting events, weddings, birthdays, family reunions and more.

Please inquire and book at minimum 3-4 weeks to ensure we can help you best 🎈

Yay! We can't wait to check out this cool new store 😎

IT’S HAPPENING!!! 😍🎉

Our official grand opening will be next Friday, June 30th! We’ll be staying open late our first day, from 10am - 8pm. We cannot wait to show you what we’ve been working on behind our papered windows! Next weekend is a busy one downtown Cobourg with it being waterfront festival. Come check out the shop and then wander down to the lake for some cotton candy and a ride on the ferris wheel. Free two hour parking can be found just north of the shop in the covert street parking lot. We can’t wait to vibe with you IRL! 💕💕💕

We have some really fun activities planned for the kiddos.

9 days until the first weekend of Quinte Ribfest!

We are so excited to be hosting the Kids Zone this year with some fun games from our friends at Quinte West Youth Centre and amazing balloon creations brought to you by Baboo Balloons

There will be a lot of sensory friendly activities such as Dino dig (find your dinosaur fossils or eggs to smash your Dino out of), bubble room and finger painting 🎨

Our organization will have face paint, glitter tattoo, and tattoo stations all available for littles to enjoy.

We have the Avengers, Minecraft, unicorn 🦄 , First Responder 🚒, space🚀, dinosaur🦕 , construction 🦺 and pre-teen ✨🌓tattoos available at our stations so make sure you get them while they’re available!

And don’t worry about the heat ☀️🥵 as there will be an 11ft wading pool available to ensure everyone stays cool!

Available will be tap, debit, credit or cash for applicable Kidz Zone activities — please be advised that 96% of activities are free for children to ensure equality for all community members

Don’t forget to come out and get saucy to support our friends at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hastings & Prince Edward Counties and YMCA of Central East Ontario 👏🏻👏🏻

Hi everyone, I am away from my office/ studio untill tomorrow (Thursday). I will be away from the phone and computer till later this evening.

I also wanted to mention that I am no longer a storefront location. We do not offer "walk in" services at our new studio location.

At our new office studio location we offer one on one event consultations where we book a time and date for you to come in and we go over all of your event details together.

I am sorry for any confusion this is causing. We can still provide you with helium balloons and custom made character balloon arrangements, we just need advanced booking now.
