What a day, what a day! Yesterday’s adventure into Toronto for Jodi and David’s wedding was beyond memorable. Surrounded by love, the ceremony began with an amazing rendition of At Last sung from the heart. Love and laughter filled their home. Both fellas presented their vows thru singing to each other. Not a dry eye in the house, which is no doubt why there were boxes of Kleenex in each row. It really could not have been more perfect.

As a Spiritualist Minister, I have often been called up for Weddings or Recommitment Ceremonies, Baptisms, Celebrations of Life...all non-religious. This is never a problem. Love is love.

Recently, I was asked to perform a Celebration of Life for a young woman who took her own life. The family indicated that they wanted "a tribute to one of the world's greatest people", who was loved by everybody she met.

It made me wonder. Why didn't she feel that way? We often ask ourselves, "Is there something that someone could have done to make a difference."

NOW, Canada's 988 hotline, gives people access to su***de prevention services via call or text, and is now available in all provinces and territories, 24/7 and free of charge.

It's a good place to start. Please share. This is an exceptionally hard time of year for everyone. Make a difference.

Life isn't always rainbows and flowers, but it should be.
