We are the Comox chapter of the Canadian Military Wives Choirs.

Our main purpose is to create a support network for women in the military community through singing! The Canadian Military Wives Choirs Comox is an organization which celebrated our inaugural meeting on January 8th, 2015. Expanding upon the Military Wives Choir movement which originated in the UK, the Comox choir is the second of it’s kind in Canada, and joins more than 80 choirs worldwide in supp

orting military spouses through music, creativity and friendship. The all-female choir is composed of at least sixty percent wives, common-law partners or fiancées of serving military members, but also accepts other women who are closely associated with the military. It is run by a committee of volunteers, and is available to sing at special events such as Remembrance Day ceremonies, Canada Day celebrations and other patriotic or military related events. The Choir Musical Director, Wendy Nixon Stothart, is well known in the Comox Valley as a strong supporter of choral music.

Another wonderful night singing our way through the holiday season! The air way brisk, but the lights were beautiful and bright! Thanks to all who came to sing along.

A special thank you to the Comox Air Force Museum for having us out for their opening night.

We will be back for some more carolling at the Heritage Air Park on December 17 @ 5:30pm. Don’t miss out on all the beautiful displays, and your chance to vote for your favourite one!

We are just one week away from the official turning on of the lights! Join us on Thursday, December 1 at 5pm at the Heritage Air Park. After the lights are turned on the Comox Military Wives Choir will lead us in a Christmas Carols sing-a-long.

Many of our choirs will be out in their communities today supporting Remembrance Day Ceremonies.
If you are unable to join your local service, please take a minute to acknowledge the sacrifice of our military members past and present.
We will remember them.

Tomorrow we honour those in uniform, past and present.

Please join us at 10:30am at the Comox Cenotaph for the Remebrance Day Service.

The Canadian Military Wives Choirs Comox will also be performing ‘Songs of Remembrance’ with the Quarantones at 2:30pm at the Comox United Church.

We are honoured to be participating at these important events and hope you will join us in Remembrance.

We are very excited to announce the Canadian Military Wives Choirs Comox will be joining the Quarantones at their Remembrance Day Concert on November 11th at 2:30pm.

Please join us following the day’s Remembrance Day service.

The Quarantones Male Chorus is announcing our upcoming Remembrance Day concerts today. The Comox Valley Children's and Youth Choirs are our guests at the first concert. Their efforts to enroll young people in their choral groups have met with great success, with over 60 young people enrolled. We are very excited to be able to sing with them on Nov 10, and with the Canadian Military Wives Choir on Nov 11, both concerts at Comox United.

Tickets will go on sale the week of October 17.
