It's been a while since I've posted a pic here. Mostly I shoot under my marketing company's name (City Sidewalk) so if you aren't following them maybe you should?

This is a photo near Pitt Addington Marsh, looking towards Pitt Lake. Heavy clouds interspersed with showers and the occasional burst of sunshine as the clouds broke apart.

Happy New Year to everyone!

Started watching The Mandalorian tonight and was motivated to take a pic of Boba and some of my other toys and have some fun playing with Photoshop.

Took a bit of time off to get out for a quick walk with the dogz at Colony Farm. Got a couple of shots of two of the more elusive birds that I'm always on the lookout for; an American Bittern, and a Belted Kingfisher that I'm pretty sure gave me "The Bird"

Last weekend we drove a round trip total of about 2,500Kms (1,500Miles) from Vancouver through Jasper and Banff in the Canadian Rockies and on to Calgary for a client meeting. It was an amazing drive and although not a photography related trip I managed to get a few decent but quick photos on our pit stops to let the dogs out for a stretch and to relieve themselves. Looking forward to making the drive again with more time scheduled to do some decent photography instead of the rush job.

Still finding that shooting birds while taking the dogz for their daily walk is a great way to multi-task. Amazing the kinds of things you find when you slow down and pay more attention to what is around you.

For those of you who have never seen an American Biturn in Metro Vancouver, there's a reason. If you looked this goofy you'd hide too. These are all shot at Colony Farm in the Tri-Cities bordering between Coquitlam, British Columbia and Port Coquitlam in Metro Vancouver over the last few days.

Got out shooting a little bit between project deliverables. Glad I did it's been a hectic week, and it's only Monday. Sparrows were plentiful this song sparrow, and this white crowned sparrow were singing up a storm. The Downy Woodpecker was a nice treat, first once I've seen at Colony Farm, but many others have seen them often.

Took another quick walk with the dogs to see if I could see the Lazuli Bunting one more time before the sun was gone for the day. A few nice shots with low light turned out.

A couple of shots from this morning's walk with the dogs; a lazuli bunting, an eastern kingbird, a chubby little song sparrow, and a turkey vulture spinning lazily through the morning thermals looking for field rabbit. The lazuli bunting and the vulture aren't the best but I at least now know where to look for them and get better pics.

Been spending a lot of early mornings shooting at Colony Farm, chasing the dawn's early light. Some days it is truly amazing to be the only one there to enjoy watching the early morning haze dissipate as the air warms for the day ahead.

Spending far too much time shooting birds, dogs, and scenery. Got to carve me some time to shoot half naked people with a kinky edge. If you're game, hit me up - I've got a lot of rope and chain that can be put to use. Maybe Theodore would tolerate a gas mask if I can get it over his big floppy years. I'd love to see his eyes staring back from behind a mask.

I seem to never have enough time to shoot people anymore. Not sure that is a good thing but it is what it is. The dogs have taken over all my free time with their two hour afternoon walks. Luckily I don't mind being unchained from my desk, and Colony Farm is a great place for the hounds to roam while I shoot the abundance of wildlife hidden in the middle of the city.

The boys, enjoying the sun while out for a walk yesterday afternoon. After all the snow the 24° weather was an amazing change. Our furry mascots were panting like it was the end of August.

Somewhat obsessed with shooting the Port Mann Bridge lately but it's close to home and is such a beautiful structure. Safe to assume I have over 150 images of it shot over the last 3 months. I need to shoot it from the Surrey side however, especially at sunset to get more of the painted sky in the silhouette.

I put this on IG but I guess it makes sense to throw it out to Facebook as well.

Any of my photography followers, who may be personal friends on Facebook, have likely already heard about the massive and catastrophic had drive failure that has virtually wiped out my photography portfolio.

If you have not heard then that's about the worst news a photographer could ever get. Life moves on however.

If you happen to have any copies of my work from any shoot we've done, please forward me a copy or call me at 604.782.5433 and I'll arrange a digital thumb drive for image transfer.

Thanks!

PS - It's a good time to hit me up for a session so I can start to rebuild my portfolio.

Hope your day is going better than the last few weeks that I've been having. :)

We took our dogs out to Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver earlier today and got a great hike in while also able to shoot a few pics along the trail. No idea whose dog this is but if you know the owner get them to get in touch so I can get them a large photo of their beauty dog. They can reach me here, on my personal account or through City Sidewalk 604.782.5433

Decided to do some photography as we drove the Coast Mountain Circle Route which is 431.78 Miles. Destination British Columbia suggests it be a 3 - 10 day adventure, but we compressed it to a single day of driving with only minimal exploration along the way. That said we did go to Joffre Lakes Provincial Park, Seton Lake Rec Area, and quite a few other quick stops along the way to get some of these images to add to City Sidewalk's stock photography library. If you've never done the loop then add it to your list of things to get to.

Took these a couple of weeks back when we took the opportunity to have a client meeting with Della from Infofit - Personal Training Certification and Fitness College while walking our dogs out at Pacific Spirit Park in Vancouver. Hard not to love working at City Sidewalk when your clients share a connection to your company mascot.

We've added a second mascot to our photography and digital strategy/marketing company (City Sidewalk). We'd like to introduce everyone to Theodore. He's a beast of a dog being part Cane Corso and part Pitbull and has a gorgeous tiger brindle coat. A gentle giant to be sure and one that at 3 months is already 32Lbs with paws the size of small dinner plates.

Shot a few dozen images at Pacific Spirit Park yesterday while we were walking our office mascot. Highly recommended place to relax and soak up some positive energy from the forest.
