Canada Games Place will be closed this afternoon at 1:00 p.m. for Corner Brook Regional High School graduating class Grand March. The closure will be from Corportal Pinksen Memorial Drive to the lower parking lot of the Corner Brook Civic Centre.

It's Recreation Month in the City of Corner Brook!

In our City, we recognize that recreation is so important to a community. It enhances quality of life, allowing people to live happier and longer. It develops creativity, builds healthy bodies and positive lifestyles. Recreation provides opportunities for personal growth and development for people of all ages. And, everything is recreation! Whether you're out for a run or tending to the garden, it takes many forms.

We are so proud of the recreation opportunities and look forward to adding more throughout the coming years, including our new Recreation Centre in September.

The City of Corner Brook is currently seeking lifeguards for this summer to attend the Margaret Bowater Park’s outdoor pool.

While this job is seasonal, our summer lifeguards may also have the opportunity to move into a role at the new Regional Recreation Centre when it opens in the fall!

We're excited to say Blame it on Broadway tickets will go on sale this coming Wednesday, June 5th at 12:00 p.m. (noon)! Mark your calendar and make sure to get them ASAP -- Early Bird Prices are only $25 from the 5th to the 19th. After that they'll be $30 online, and $35 at the door on the day of the concert.

For just $25 you can get access to the street and our drink vendors as well as fantastic live music from five incredible acts throughout the evening. Don't forget, that offer ends on June 19th at midnight.

Broadway will be the place to be on July 26th!

Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services advises that Western Memorial Regional Hospital is currently in the process of relocating to its new permanent location at 100 Health Care Crescent in Corner Brook, NL, with Patient Move Day taking place this 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰. On this day, all inpatients will be transferred to the new hospital.

In coordination with the City of Corner Brook, a designated route will be used to transfer inpatients. Roads identified include Brookfield Ave, West Valley Road, O’Connell Drive, University Ave, Corporal Pinsent Memorial Drive, and Lewin Parkway. To enable a smooth transfer of inpatients to the new hospital, the public is asked to avoid this route on 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝟴:𝟬𝟬 𝗮.𝗺. 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟱:𝟬𝟬 𝗽.𝗺., if possible.
