Somewhere along the way, carnations got an unfair reputation as “cheap” or “boring,” but they’re actually floral powerhouses! These ruffled beauties last forever, and come in every colour imaginable.

I’ve never been one for Valentine’s Day… and yet, here I am in 2025, planning day in and day out for this one day. The irony is not lost on me.

But if I’m going to do it, you know I’m going all in. I’ve ordered the most beautiful flowers that I know that you're all going to love.

Yesterday, I ran a poll on Instagram asking whether I should start incorporating more lilies into my designs. Full disclosure: I’m highly sensitive to lilies, but I wanted to hear from all of you before making a decision.

The verdict is in—80% of you said you’re not fans of lilies!

I have to admit, I’m a little relieved, but it also got me curious—what is it about lilies that you don't like? Is it their strong scent, the pollen, or something else entirely? And for the 20% who love them, I’d love to hear why they’re a favourite of yours.

One of my primary goals for 2025 is to focus on professional growth—refining my skills and introducing fresh, innovative ideas to my designs.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending my first workshop of the year in Montreal, centered around Japan Blooms. The session explored the thoughtful selection and use of flowers in design, emphasizing intentionality and artistry to create truly inspired pieces.

The guest speakers, Hitomi Gilliam AIFD and Per Benjamin Flowers, are renowned experts in the field, and their insights were both motivating and enlightening.

I’m eager to integrate these concepts into my work as I continue to grow and evolve this year.

Yes, V-day is around the corner, but flowers can (and should) be gifted just because too. Trust me, there’s nothing like the surprise of an unexpected bouquet to make someone’s day. 😉

As I sit down to reflect on 2024, I’m filled with gratitude and pride.

I took a leap of faith in 2024 and introduced fresh flowers alongside my faux designs. It was such an exciting (and super scary) step for Saisons! Fresh Flower Fridays quickly became a weekly favourite so I introduced my flower subscription club.

I also had the chance to create fresh florals for weddings and events, which helped me make so many wonderful local connections. You might have spotted my flowers at Tilly's - home of Once Upon a Coffee Shop, Studio 101 or even the fresh eucalyptus bundles at Pure Organic Spa. The demand grew so much that I had to invest in two coolers to keep up—something I never imagined I’d need when I first started this journey.

Whether you picked up your orders or patiently waited for delivery, your support means everything to me as I continue to run Saisons as a one – and sometimes two — woman show (thanks Mom ❤️).

It wasn’t without challenges, though. Juggling deliveries, testing new designs, and keeping up with demand kept me on my toes. But every piece I created told a story, marked a celebration, or added a little beauty to someone’s day — and that made all the hard work worthwhile.

To everyone who trusted me with your weddings, events, and seasonal decor this year, in either your homes or offices, thank you.

You made 2024 unforgettable.

My goal for 2025, is to keep creating, refining my services, and dreaming up even more beautiful pieces for you all.
