Bonfire during a wedding, rehearsal, or overnight stay? Why not!!! This has been something several weddings this year have enjoyed.

In a few weeks it will be the last wedding bonfire of the year for this set up, before we dismantle and rebuild this firepit a bit higher so that we fit more logs under the fire grate on windy days.

And our Find Your Seat sign is now available for use!

Special thanks to Tammy who managed to get this lettering done at the very last minute for us. We couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

It currently has 9 clips attached on a metal string attached with antique decorative upholstery nails. We also have 3 more matching clips that we can attach for additional seating cards. However if you prefer wooden clips, flowers, or lights you are free to jazz up the board in any temporary manner you like.

For a change of pace, this past weekend I was the maid of honor at my sister's wedding at the beautiful in Baddeck. Their staff, facilities, and grounds were just perfect for our needs and I highly recommend them for anyone considering a Cape Breton based event.

Ok, maybe not a true change of pace as I was still running around setting up tables, prepping cake, and wrangling family members for photos. But this time I got to dance, eat, wear a fancy dress and lots of makeup, and really enjoy the day from a different perspective.

And as promised, we now have a Welcome to Our Wedding sign that you will be able to attach your own names to (once I remove these wonderful Cricut vinyl lettering names done by Tammy at

Are you planning an elopement or micro/ mini wedding on the beach and the weather just isn't cooperating?

We are happy to offer another option.

We have an indoor option, which is a Gothic Victorian church built in 1887.

And if the weather does happen to cooperate while you are here we also have our lawn area, forest area, and beach.
