Play. What do you think of when you read that word? What images come to the forefront of your mind? Is "Play" something that you do after you finish work? When all of the serious bits are sorted? Or is "Play" more than that? Is it an intrinsic and valuable part of being? If you were to ask me, the answer is emphatically, "yes!".
We live each day "playing" a myriad of roles, friend, sibling, lover, coworker, etc. And as we take on and express ourselves in each role we play the part according to the rules that have been established, either via open discussion and agreement or tacitly. What if we were to play that role more playfully? How might we show up and engage in the roles we play knowing that we are "playing a role"?
This Sunday you are invited to come and be curious; to be like a child again, fresh and full of wonder. Let us play together in this sacred way and remember that we are all here on Earth to play together.
