Failure for 2023! This XL 60' x 12' row was meant to be growing pumpkins, BUT sometimes stuff happens, and it turned into a weedy mess. I tilled them under and will be surrendering it to a cover crop for the season.
We are all learning in the pursuit of a beautiful and productive garden, but if it doesn't happen, it's okay, even if can be frustrating and disappointing.
On the other hand, I don't have a lot of experience with summer cover cropping, so there's an opportunity there to expand hands on learning. 👏

So many thanks to the wonderful musicians who made it out today to play for us at our Blooms in July event, much gratitude to everyone who came out and said hi, bought a book and enjoyed our little flower farm, and a tremendous amount of love to our parents who, for all intents and purposes, set the entire thing up, a stage included! We couldnt do it (any of it) without you.

I recently posted to the 'Rants and Raves' group about someone who had not sent an etransfer for a couple hanging baskets. Maybe they had made an honest mistake, I don't know; I may never know. The Honour System can be so great, but comes with its flaws.
But the outpour of encouraging words and support from complete strangers and even offers to cover her bill, has been incredible. We really do live in an amazing place, with amazing people.

If you know me, you know I live and breath to make this dream work, and my very patient partner even let's me take over the living room in the dead of winter to start my seeds. Not to mention the support of my parents and In-laws, which is insurmountable.

I just want to put a tiny bit of the gratitude I feel out into the digital ethos, and say ⭐️Thank You⭐️ to everyone who has messaged me.
