Experienced Floral Designer
We are seeking a full-time EXPERIENCED Floral Designer that is very passionate about their work, highly motivated and enthusiastic. The candidate must have at least 3 years of retail floral design experience. The position includes all aspects of a busy, full-service retail florist providing beautiful bouquets and custom floral designs on demand. It also includes conditioning and receiving flowers, processing of plants as well as merchandising displays and taking phone and walk-in orders.
The candidate must be very comfortable putting together artistic designs on demand with proper knowledge of floral mechanics and be familiar with flower processing techniques. Prerequisites also include being team oriented, an upbeat and positive personality, a great work ethic and works well under pressure. A candidate that is organized will be appreciated during special events and holidays.
Other requirements are overtime and holiday availability as well as physically able to handle buckets and boxes of flowers and to work extended periods on your feet.
Requirements:
English and French Spoken
Proven floral design experience
Sound knowledge of flower types, arrangement styles & flower conditioning
Effective communication and exceptional customer service skills
Artist and creative as well as detail oriented
Responsibilities:
Ensure that flowers are properly stored and maintained in coolers
Selecting and arranging flowers to create standard and custom floral arrangements
Maintain adequate supply of wires, foam, ribbon, tapes and other decorative supplies.
Make sure that our computer system is updated with order statuses, as well as used to plan
Advising customers on proper care and maintenance of their arrangements.
Consulting with clients to determine their preferences and specifications for arrangements for events, weddings, etc.
Fulltime Position
Salary: $19-$25
