To couples: Some sound advice on things to consider before choosing a wedding date:
1) Are there any local events on the calendar to interfere? Check with your local Chamber of Commerce.

2) Can your VIPs attend? Check with anyone you cannot get married without.

3 ) Any of your friends have nabbed a specific date that could interfere with yours?

4) How high the chance of rain? Consult the Farmers' Almanac.

5) Are your must-have vendors available? Check with them first.

6) Is your event happening during a busy work season?

7) What time is "Magic Hour"? Your ceremony should be just prior to sunset for beautiful pictures and perfect post-ceremony cocktail hour.

An unlilkely event!
In viewing a press report about Gwen Stefani and Blake Sheldon's recent wedding, I was thinking these two must have learned compromise for sure. The wedding was described as "elegant, refined, downhome and fun", and as an unlikely mix of fried chicken and champagne. If these two very different individuals can make their reltionship work, then everything is possible for any couple whose love will allow them to work on their differences and find happiness in doing so.
