To The Pointe is a dance intensive that provides professional dance educators and choreographers to instruct and support dancers of all ages in their training and help inspire their passion. Celebrating it’s 15th Anniversary, To The Pointe is proud to have influenced many young dancers lives for over a decade. It has been an honour for TTP to be part of their dance journey and then to see hundreds of dancers move on to professional careers.

The vision of TTP has always been to help improve the dancers technique and performance with a strong focus on self care and injury prevention. The aesthetics of dance through anatomy and diverse training, while still embracing the love of dance, is what TTP represents.

They are your dance convention offering both intimate and large scale events. Dancers can expect fun, educational classes to help improve their technique and performance for the upcoming season. Classes will not only expand knowledge on new disciplines but will also dive deeper into dance genres focusing on history and technical ex*****on.

The CDX adventure started in the summer of 2015 and grew from one large summer event to additional intimate Discipline focused fall events. Every year in the summer it is their goal to provide unique and new classes you may have not tried in addition to the standard genres you are used to. In the fall, they dive deeper into specific disciplines in a more intimate setting.

NEW this season we have expanded our Dancer of the Year competition!!
Dancers 9 and Under, 10 - 13, and 14+ with TWO OR MORE solos are eligible to compete for this title! Dancers 13 and under must compete an Improv Solo and dancers 14+ must compete in our Choreography Challenge!
Our Dancer of the Year receives the title and a CASH scholarship!!
We cannot wait to see all of our Dancer of the Year participants again this year!!

A note from the Directors and the driving forces behind Debut Dance Events:

Dance has been part of our lives for over 25 years, from dancers to teachers to studio owners/directors. We have experienced decades of dance events across Canada and the U.S., and in 2022 found ourselves making a list of everything west desperately wanted to experience from the dance events we attend. After a long phone call, we decided to create an event that checked all of our boxes! Debut Dance Events IS our list of wants and needs come to life - and it has brought us so much joy curating an event that we are SO proud of.

We are the teachers at competitions who spend countless hours in the theatre, backstage and in rehearsal, dealing with costumes and props, and everything in between. We were the dancers with quick changes and multiple numbers in a category. For most of our lives, these tireless days and countless hours behind the scenes has been, and still is our spring time reality. Our events are created from a space of understanding all aspects of the competition experience, and how each and every detail truly matters.

We are so excited that in our 3rd season we are bringing to life three events for dancers, teachers, parents and audience members to experience. Our planning is well underway and we cannot wait to see you and all the hard work come to life on stage!!

We offer small categories for ages 2-Adult, based on hours of dance training per week. Our criteria based marking system strives to remove the randomness of scoring to ensure that dancers understand where their areas of improvement lie early on in their competition season. And of course, our CASH awards, scholarships and infamous teachers lounge, to make our weekend memorable! Come share your love of dance and the stage with us on March 16-18,2024 at The Arden Theatre!
