Haven’t we all made this mistake ? 👇🏼 Here’s why 🗣️ ❌ INQUIRING WITH VENDORS WITH OUT DEPOSIT FROM CLIENT — You know how time consuming this process can be. Working before you’re hired is not ideal. ❌ SENDING MY IDEAS BEFORE BEING BOOKED — it’s not always done intentionally by a client BUT I’ve been asked for ideas or inspo and watched those same clients go 👻 I don’t have to show you inspiration to tell you I’m good at my work. I can send you all the inspiration after I’m hired! ❌ PROVIDING A MOCK-UP PRIOR TO BEING HIRED — Refer back to what I just wrote because ABSOLUTELY NOT. I have received mock-ups from clients that I know are from other planners. This is not something you want to do for free. ❌ DOING A SITE VISIT BEFORE GETTING BOOKED— I did this twice and didn’t get booked. All to give the client a quote. This was before I was charging an Event Planning Fee first.
