There has been some inquiries about the Inglewood Community League's position on candidates in the municipal election. Apart from supporting the principle of democratic processes, the League endorses no candidate or party in any political contest or campaign.
As a public space, the League rents out our hall to many members, families, groups and organizations over the year. One candidate booked the League's hall last night for their own event and paid our regular rental rate. The signs which they put up around the neighbourhood were also at the candidate's initiative and expense.
The League provided no advertising or other contribution in support of this person or any other candidate.
That said, the Inglewood Community League of Edmonton along with Sherbrooke Community League, Woodcroft Community League - Edmonton, AB, and Dovercourt Community League have sponsored an all-candidates forum for the Anirniq Ward. If you missed that event you can still to check out our ward's candidates answers to questions submitted by the community by watching the recorded video of that event here: https://www.youtube.com/live/wiBnBzEkWOs?si=Uv7SxSE7iMLucA1V
We hope you have the information you need to make an informed vote in this week's municipal elections.
By the way, most of you will find your way to the Inglewood Community School for your polling station on election day.
