Here it is..Corsage making!
The frame is oasis rustic wire bound with floral tape in an āinfinityā sign.
I actually learned it from watching one of @ohflorastudio ās IG videos.. and if you arenāt already following her.. you should! she is one amazing florist!
Then I used Oasis floral glue to stick everything together.. itās like suuuper sticky and waterproof!
All these peonies were from me and my grandmaās garden.. So I decided to put them into good use..not for a wedding, not for anyone in particular, just for fun, because sometimes I need to be reminded that this small business shouldnāt just be to make money or make others happy... itās for ME too.
Warning you now this may be a long post..
Itās actually the first time Iāve touched flowers since I lost my baby boy..
I took this smaller project on just to get back into it, just a few simple centrepieces to celebrate a milestone surprise birthday..and Iām not gonna lie.. I was a little nervous that maybe Iām a bit rusty and itās been too long or maybe I should have practiced before filming it..
But this new changed me said to just go for it..2019 has been good to me so far.. and Iām being easy on myself.. taking time for me and also finding joy in things I once loved ..
Pain is always there but every day is a new day and as cliche as ātime heals all woundsā sounds, itās true..
This client was a gem and she might not know the joy she gave me..
My hands remembered what to do and I was reminded again of my love for flowers and my heart hurts a little less everyday!š
Just a simple rose boutineer.. cross wiring method featuring my favourite amnesia rose! #floralfriday #floraldiy
If only I could actually create these this fast š
Todayās St. Paddyās Day was a good one! Got to create some beautiful bouquets and compote arrangements for J&L! No luck needed today! Just love! š
Cuz I was too busy on #floralfriday working on my first wedding of the 2018 season..
..hereās a look at an arrangement in a himmeli for @salvage.bronze
Loved the colours she chose and how it all came together!
This is a first for me.. so some disclaimers...
One: it was taken with my iPhone which was propped up by some random items..
Two: hence the camera angle being crappy..
Three: i was probably half an inch away from my lazy suzan completely slipping off the vase beneath it .. normally I use a black bucket to raise the lazy suzan cuz itās more solid but I thought it didnāt look as pretty! Iām glad it didnāt completely fall off and ruin this whole video.. haha.. would have been funny though š
Well hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed making it!
If you want to see the arrangement in action, it will be part of my display at the @localloveevents bridal show this Sunday!
