Jay began her journey as a magician at the age of 12, secretly studying at home and has since performed in many different settings. From busking to solo stage shows, from adult only drag and burlesque shows to children's parties; Jay is familiar with a wid

"The Entertainment District is back with outdoor activities for New Year's Eve

Just a hop away from the fireworks displays at Churchill Square, Rice Howard Way is pulling out a New Year’s party of its own with roving performers, roasted chestnuts, live music, DJs, giveaways, games and activities.

From 6-10 PM, visit the Tipi for Indigenous storytelling by the Whitecourt ISGA Tourism Association and be sure to check out live ice carving and light displays. The outdoor event ends at 11:45 PM so you can get to Churchill Square for the midnight fireworks.

You’ll be able to grab food & drinks from any restaurant/bar on the street and consume it within the district. And yes! This includes alcohol!"

I basically customized some that I found at flea markets, but does anyone have any leads on swords or metal smiths? I would have a fairly limited budget for this.

I WON AN AWARD! I am very fortunate to say I won 2024's Outdoor Artist of the Fringe.

First of all, I'd like to thank my partner for the immense amount of support: from hair/make-up/styling my outfits and giving me their sweet reassurance.

I'd like to thank all of my colleagues for giving me lots of motivation to work hard and have fun when I needed my battery charged.

Street performing is one of the most difficult environments to perform in. There are so many variables that can affect the show and it can be unpredictable.

However, it is one of the most accessible forms of entertainment and I take so much pride in being a circle show artist/street performer.

Just recently got some new props from @ellusionist ! Large portion of this routine is composed by @rubiferez_ . I highly recommend you go check out @rubiferez_ 's work. 🪙🪙🪙 If you are a fan of coin magic, go watch Rubi's routines. His theories and sleights on coin manipulation utterly incredible. You'll see that he is a passionate and brilliant artist. I've also used some ideas by @axel_hecklau to give this routine a little "flair" (get it?
