I wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you for all your support over the last six years. From the opening of Funky Petals, through the pandemic, winter storms, flooding, frozen pipes, AC breakdowns, and renovations – you’ve been there through it all, and I couldn’t have done it without you.

I also have some big news to share: Funky Petals North Edmonton will be sold as of July 31 at 5 PM.
It’s a bittersweet moment for me, but it’s time for a new adventure. I will be moving on to my new studio space specializing in Weddings in Alberta and beyond.
I will also be learning new skills that I have always wanted to learn and of course traveling and finding adventure wherever I can!

To celebrate and say thank you, I’m throwing a farewell and meet-and-greet with the new owner on Saturday, July 27 from 11AM to 3 PM. I’d love for you to swing by, have a glass of champagne, and toast to the new owner and our lovely little shop. Come by, say goodbye, and let’s celebrate the great times we’ve had together.

I am so excited and have been waiting for this weekend’s wedding! The theme is “Tropical Moody Glam,” and it’s all about vibrant, lush, and exotic floral arrangements. From Birds of Paradise to Ginger Lilies, the colors and textures are going to make this wedding truly unforgettable. With Grad season upon us I have a very special Graduate to Celebrate!!!

Today, our amazing son .wav graduates from high school! Watching him grow into the funny, smart, and handsome young man he is today has been an incredible journey. From his first steps to this milestone, the years have flown by in the blink of an eye.

His Father and I couldn’t be prouder of the person he had become. His kindness, intelligence, and humor light up our lives every day. We are beyond excited to see what the future holds for him as he steps into this new chapter.

Congratulations, my boy. You make us proud every single day.

WE ARE HIRING!!!

We are searching for a floral designer to work in our fast paced, busy flower shop. Responsibilities will include processing incoming fresh flowers and designing marketable modern bouquets and arrangements, assisting customers with any floral needs and/or concerns.

Our primary objective is to hire a long-term team member to become part of our flower family. We are looking to find an energetic, vibrant, and fun individual; with a creative eye, and passion for all things pretty. This position is a full time position and could include designing wedding florals and installs.

Florist Responsibilities:

Greeting customers in person and over the phone with a positive helpful attitude.
Receiving and processing shipments, of plants and flowers.
Advising clients on possible flower combinations.
Providing occasion-specific flower suggestions.
Carefully arranging creative bouquets and arrangements for purchase.
Packaging clients’ flowers to prevent breakages or weather damage.
Coordinating flower deliveries.
Cleaning and maintaining both the workspace and store front.
Taking orders over the phone
Florist Requirements:

3-5years experience as a florist
Knowledgeable about flower handling techniques.
Approachable, positive, patient, and forthcoming.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Ability to lift boxes up to 30lbs.
Ability to climb ladders.
Great phone Etiquette
Great computer skills
Knowledge of social media an asset.
Job Types: Full Time Permanent
hours: 35-40 per week
