To celebrate your wedding outside. The bright blue skies, the natural décor, the romantic breeze— at least, that's how you envision the your ceremony and reception. The reality? A lot can happen on the day of, especially if you're celebrating en plein air. Everything from out-of-nowhere wind to last-minute thunderstorms can disrupt the wedding day’s events, unless you plan for the unexpected well in advance and that is exactly what Briana and Mathew did 🙌🏽. They invested in a tent, as it rained on and off on their wedding day. It allowed guest to stay dry in the tent until rain stopped and could start the ceremony in an open green space in the backyard. During the reception it decided to rain again and all the guest were comfortable for the duration of evening.

When planning a multicultural wedding, be sure to research and educate yourself on the other culture’s traditions beforehand. One of the best ways to learn about the other culture is by talking to your significant other and their family. Open communication is the key to any long-lasting relationship and showing an interest in learning about their cultural traditions is an excellent place to start. Seeing Riya & Qi bring two different cultures together from the ceremony, decorations, food and entertainment, created a memorable evening 🙌🏽.

I’ve been super lucky to Dj a lot of my friends weddings throughout the years and was excited for Courtney’s wedding. The best advice I can give you both: trust one another, forgive the other’s flaws, and stick with each other through thick and thin – divorce is too expensive and I’m not Dj’n a second time 🤣.

I’ve been lucky over the years becoming really good friends with my clients, but some become family too. While planning Cristina’s wedding, I became more than a Dj and was helping with all other elements. It was from there she started calling me cousin ☺️ and soon invited to family dinners to have more input on the wedding. Thank you for letting me be part of your Italian family, but making sure I’m taken care of too 🥰.

I had a lot riding on me and was honestly scared, as it was a one man show making sure all the pieces came together (pulled wedding planner duties). But when wedding day arrived was it ever gorgeous, from the couples, to the guest, venue, food, decor and entertainment.

The smell of wood, hay, lots of string lights hangin’ around and the sound of shoes on the dance floor, swaying to everything from Modern Country to Pop. The beauty of country weddings is that they can be as laid back or posh as you want them to be. And was Jamie & Kyle ever laid back 👌🏽. The bonus is when mom/brother own the venue and everything was to a tee 🫶🏽.

Love can be scary, it’s basically giving someone a map of all your flaws and imperfections and putting faith in them to not abuse that power. And that can be so beautiful; it makes you do the hardest thing a human could ever do, be vulnerable.

It’s not every day you get to Dj a friends wedding and it was honour to be part of Stephanie & Nolan’s special day (Jun.7, 2024). All you gotta do is trust your Dj and the rest is magic 🪄😉. Don’t be afraid to color outside the lines! There’s no shame in wanting to follow your culture or faith’s traditions to a T, but don’t be afraid to add or take away elements to fit your liking. Weddings are not one-size fits all events. Every Bride/Groom and couple are perfectly unique and that should shine through on your big day. That is what Sydney & Kalp did during Pt.1 of their wedding ceremony/reception on June 1, 2024 🥰.

It’s not every time you get called to Dj a Gala for 1500ppl and what a night it was. From guest dressing up in their finest dress or suit, everyone looked gorgeous 🌟. And the after party was something else, with guest dancing the night away.

Congrats to all finalists and winners this year for the Canadian Home Builders Association Edmonton Region’s 2024 Awards of Excellence in Housing.

While on vacation I did FaceTime consultation with Ashley/Michael, as they hadn’t booked a Dj yet and looking. I’ve never laughed so hard, as it just jokes after jokes. They got more than they bargained for because during our on-site visit, I became more than just a Dj…jumped in planner/decor mode to help out with their vision and all worked out 🙌🏽

Congrats to Ashley & Michael on their wedding day. But let’s not forget the Ukrainian Hopak dance, I’d have to say one of the most difficult dances in the world and was blown away.
