Well folks...It was one of those crazy hot Alberta days when we rolled up to our dear friend and former band mate’s Blake Reid Band's ranch in Dog
Pound Alberta. We were there to play the first official show in his brand new, hand made, Windmill Showroom! Blake Reid had been talking about creating this venue for years, and I’ve watched it grow from just an idea, into this amazingly cozy, beautiful music space. Everything about it speaks
being rural, close to the land and the old ways. So does the countryside, cattle and farm implements that surround it. We felt as close to home here as we’ve ever felt anywhere... There is just one other space that reminds us of it, and it’s The Red
The Red Room, Cookstown, outside of Cookstown, Northern
Ireland... Same charm, warm country people that make you never want to leave! So that’s two so far in the world!

Blake Reid and his wife Jodie opened the show, playing some of his great well written songs. .This would be the first time that we heard Jodie sing with Blake, and she stuck with his phrasing like glue! That’s something Aaron and I could never do when we performed with him... Haha, she watched him like a
hawk and caught every little nuance! Their blend was beautiful too!!!

Anyway, we asked our very talented friend, Jason Cabanaw to come along to do live sound and to record the evening in case we happened to play something right, and he would be able to capture it as proof we actually could :) So he and his lovely wife Elizabeth came all the way down from Lloydminster with a load
of recording gear and set up for the show.

Aaron Young and Cedric Blary joined us on stage, as we always love to have them with us, both “live” and on our recordings
whenever we can...So at 7:30 the four of us hit the stage for The Windmill's first official show! It was packed full of
amazing friends and fans that cheered us on with every song, story, and even every solo that the guys took. The audience was warm, the band was hot, and the room was even hotter! Haha, I joked on stage that Suzanne’s mascara was running so bad that she looked like Alice Cooper:)

What a night we had and what a great way to kick off such an amazing venue! After the show, we grabbed our Over The
Moon brand and heated it with Blake’s tiger torch and branded the Windmill’s new live edge bar...where it will remain
forever! Huge thanks to Blake, Jodie and crew...Also to Aaron, Cedric, Jason and
Elizabeth... Hope you like this glimpse
into that wonderful night!!!

Here's the link to purchase the double CD or download, you can also stream it on all the usual streaming sites!

Farewell Kim as Snark producer. Kim Berry has and still will be an excellent volunteer at the Ottawa Valley Food Coop Welcome Emily.

New Roaster at the Helm!

Exciting news.
I’ve sold Snark.

Emily Prospero is the new owner, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. I’ve been training her for the past 6 weeks, and will continue to work with her as she transitions into Snark’s new roasting space. Emily is experienced, energetic and passionate about coffee. I couldn’t be more confident about passing my business baby into her talented hands. The roastery is now located at Emily’s home in Burnstown.

So what does this mean for you?

You will continue to get great coffee, from the same website snarkbean.com, only now you’ll be seeing and hearing from Emily, not me.

And really, that’s the only difference.

For those who sometimes pick up directly from me in Arnprior, you can continue to do porch pick ups until Emily sets up another Arnprior location, but Emily will keep you posted on this.

I have truly enjoyed working with you. I’ve enjoyed providing a product I was proud of. I enjoyed delivering to you, chatting with whoever was receiving or picking up. Thank you for your support.

I have the utmost confidence Emily will continue to provide topnotch products and service for you. I wouldn’t have sold to her if I didn’t.

It has been an honour.

A great news/bad news post! ….

We are welcoming Suzie Vinnick back to the winery for her 3rd performance because she is epic!! Fun, upbeat, entertaining and an all around powerhouse of jazz, folk, blues and a sweetheart to boot!

Suzie is graciously joining us on Friday, September 27th at 7:30pm because Meredith Moon can no longer perform.

Meredith says “my friends, it is with a heavy heart that I announce the cancellation of my upcoming fall dates, due to unforseen circumstances out of my control. I was so deeply looking forward to bringing this music of mine your way and playing for all of you lovely folks. You can contact all venues directly for a refund.

I will be back at it in early 2025 upon the release of my new album... the date for that will be announced quite soon, so please do keep your ears to the ground! We are working hard to bring you something pretty special for 2025, and will be hitting some pretty special locations.

Thank you for your support and understanding. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause you.”

Meanwhile please join us to welcome Suzie! Tickets at littleredwagonwinery.com/events-tickets
Dinner at 6pm, show at 7:30pm.

I find alot of store pickles suck. Their way to weak for my German taste buds, so we make all our pickles very flavorful and medium strong. Homemade and delicious.

Small concerts off the grid

When we moved to this quaint town we never dreamed we’d become a musical venue. It just naturally evolved. Eganville, ON, this jewel of the Bonnechere is in the centre of the Ottawa Valley, just over an hour west of Ottawa and just south of Pembroke. Our concerts are intimate, you sit in soft chairs, sip on your favourite beverage and enjoy to the acoustic sounds. Locally sourced food is often served at intermission and our profits go to local groups. Please be our guests.
