Mr. Trudeau’s decision to resign comes as Donald Trump is making an unprecedented level of threat against our country. This is when our nation needs to show that we can stand up to the American bully. Unfortunately, Liberal infighting is making this very difficult. The decision by his Finance Minister to blow the party up on the day of a budget, followed by the open revolt of his caucus, has put him in a political dead end.

There are so many issues facing our country, and we need to be reassuring Canadians that Ottawa has their back. However, what they see is a dysfunctional parliament where Mr. Poilievre blocks every effort to find solutions while Mr. Trudeau becomes increasingly disconnected from the realities of Canadians. This is a defining moment in our political history.

I thank Mr. Trudeau for his service to our country, but he has done the right thing in stepping down.

What a wonderful concert! Not only was the Eganville Community Choir a delight to listen to, the added extras of fleugal horn, trumpet, bodran pipes and whistle were top notch. I loved that the program had breaks for us to sing, Gerald to comment and give the choir a "rest". It was the perfect length.
Thanks for all your everyone's hard work.

Small concerts off the grid

When we moved to this quaint town we never dreamed we’d become a musical venue. It just naturally evolved. Eganville, ON, this jewel of the Bonnechere is in the centre of the Ottawa Valley, just over an hour west of Ottawa and just south of Pembroke. Our concerts are intimate, you sit in soft chairs, sip on your favourite beverage and enjoy to the acoustic sounds. Locally sourced food is often served at intermission and our profits go to local groups. Please be our guests.
