The regal trumpet-shaped blooms flowers on this beautiful variety look just like water lilies on long stems. Narcissus ‘Delnashaugh’, with its light melon- and ivory-tinted centers are tightly packed like layers of overlapping petticoats. These specialty tulips, including fringed and peony-style doubles, are a cut above the rest. Harvested fresh each morning & evening. It’s as local as you can get. Ranunculus from our own Ontario growers.

Get ready to brighten your day with our stunning bouquet options, dropping Thursday morning until sold out!

A few Tulip VASE LIFE TRICKS tips to keep lovin’ on your blooms until Thursday mornings drop 🌷

Tulips are naturally a very long lasting cut flower. Homegrown varieties can hold for around a week or more in the vase, shipped they persist for 4-5 days. For the longest display in your home, tulips are harvested when the flowers are still in bud with just a hint of colour showing on their outer petals.

Tulips have a tendency to bend and curve after harvest while adapting to being cut. Wrap the top two thirds of the flowers in a funnel of paper and stand them upright in water for a few hours. Once they are fully hydrated, they will stand much straighter in the vase.

Keep in mind that once placed in water, fresh picked stems will elongate during the first few days. If you are adding them into an arrangement, nestle the flower down deeper than you ultimately want them to be.

Keeping out of direct sunlight and away from warm areas in your home help too.

Flower preservative along with fresh water will prolong the vase life of tulips and keep the petals vibrant and richly coloured.

This first variety made their showing - “Secret Parrot Tulips”- Exotically contorted huge double parrot blooms. Petals are almost metallic with highlights of green, raspberry & blue. What’s their secret? The feather-like petals will continue unfurl and reveal their ruffled gorgeousness.

My Saturday flower bouquet ambition flourished - I worked through my pre orders & the bounty of our favourite spring blooms, RAINBOW RANUNCULUS!

I’ve got one RANUNCULUS bouquet not yet spoken for in the pictures. PM if you’d like it, $60. I tucked in a few happy daisy crysthathemums in peach & mauve along with some double tulips.

I’ve got a few stems (…3-4) of the orange ranunculus remaining and lots of of papery white billowing white ranunculus.

Sometimes it feels like everyone else must have it all together. They can somehow whip their whole house & life back into shape after Christmas by January 1. Not me😆! I need until at least February to feel ready for the New Year. Ha! But in all seriousness, the month of January is a great time to reset our homes.

Except now…. Is anyone missing their tree but craving the crisp clean that the January reset brings?
