Your dream wedding may happen in a clearing in the woods, at the water's edge on a beach, in the lush greenery of a park, the rainbow colours of a friend's garden, an elegant mansion, a modern restaurant; whether the location is exotic or you are comfortably in your own home - you are together.

I collaborate with you to create your meaningful, romantic, light-hearted, and sincere ceremony; the ceremony that you will always remember - how you felt as the two of you stood in front of the important people in your life, to join your hands and hearts in marriage - and then to celebrate it all together.

I am a licensed wedding officiant because I believe in celebrating love - in whatever way you want to.

You need to be confident with who you are working with, and know that they can complete your bespoke ceremony. I can guide you through the planning process, follow up with the legal documentation. I know the industry and am happy to partner with your wedding professionals.

I want to help you reflect your love and your life together. It is about you two and your journey through life together. It is personal. You may want it big or small, include your own special ritual, a family tradition, or a simple "I DO". Let me help you make it happen, the way you want it to be.

Mona & Brendan were part of the August Wedding Frenzy!

Deep Friendship & High Passion = Lifelong Love

These two met in a sort of serious way… at work, in an official capacity, Mona was in HR, and Brendan needed to submit his safety boots receipt for reimbursement…and she said NO.  this is a common life situation, but somehow this common became extraordinary. When Mona saw this man she knew in her heart that he was the man she would marry. (she would say yes)  A few life things happened and then when things were not so serious and official (not together at work that is) they started to date… and that daily work life detail became the the catalyst for these two to connect, to fall in love, to find themselves as soulmates, partners, to become the “one” for each other. 

This love is something so very special to be treasured for always … and yes he did get those boots reimbursed. 

Webster's dictionary defines welding as "the fusing of two metals with a hot torch." Well, you know something? I think you guys are two medals. Gold medals… - Michael Scott

#2024 weddings

Jordan and Olivier. LOVE, deeply, beautifully, uniquely and wholly.

How did this all start? So the beginning of adulting life begins in high school. Hanging out with friends, passing each other in the hallway, exchanging snapchats.... and then 

From this, it turned to a deep connection, through high school, through university, it was always Jordan and Olivier. 

Ce qui compte le plus au quotidien, ce n'est pas seulement d'avoir un partenaire qui vous enseigne l'amour, la joie, le rire et les rêves, mais aussi d'être ce partenaire et d'apprécier que la réalité de l'amour est bien plus merveilleuse que le fantasme de la perfection.

These two lovely souls..... deeply connected...Over hours of late night chatting, enjoying the simplicity of being such close friends that they did not see exactly how they were falling for each other… and then perhaps a few prods from other people in their lives who could see that there was real magic happening in their world.

You two also know the magic of falling in love, and the way it feels when you are waiting for the other to see what you see. You have learned to trust each other, to be patient with each other, to forgive each other and to support each other. 

It was my joy to join these two in their marriage, amidst dear family and friends, blending two lives with a ceremony blended in French and English....

Can you describe a fun ceremony - the groomsmen danced up the aisle tossing beers.....

And these two: Kaitlin & Jordan.....It was quite a time ago, back when they were only 4, that these two first came into each other’s lives. Kaitlin kept asking Jordan to do this, do that, go here, anything fun to be together - 

Throughout the many years of school and the usual changing of  groups of friends, Kaitlin and Jordan stayed connected to each other and shared so many of life’s first experiences and adventures with each other. They are each other’s oldest friendship.

As they grew up, Jordan decided to make the first move--- now they were on the path that brought us here today. 

They fell in love instantly, knowing they were each other's “one”. The one they have always meant to be with. Jordan was deployed to Ukraine March 2021 to the end of September 2021….those long months challenged and strengthened their commitment to each other.  They knew they wanted to be together forever

Venue: The Slit Barn was built in 1840, one of only a few like this still standing in Ontario, and is a treasure that is cared for by the Charitable Research Reserve ECO Centre, which protects over 1,200 acres of environmentally sensitive lands throughout Waterloo region and Wellington county. 
....and a lucky extra bonus for me was to catch up with an old friend

Wedding posts are a few weeks behind but this was a super weekend of celebrating love in London!

Our two sweethearts met early in life, in one of those ordinary high school  life experiences - just friends hanging out and sending messages to other friends, but fate spun the wheel and these two ended up connecting with each other. Lucky for Dan that Emma, just that very day, crossed a magical line that parents have - the rule that “you have to be 16 before you start dating”,  and together they found the extraordinary - their soulmate. Over the past 14 years,  they have matured, they have learned some of the lessons that life puts in front of us all, they will get to experience them all (as we all do), and together they are sharing what possibilities that life has to offer….

Kira and Jan-Paul came together as friends. 

Today, they pledge to each other not only their love, but also the strength, warmth and, most importantly, the fun of true friendship.

The friendship that started Kira & Jan-Paul on the path to standing in front of you today began  almost 11 years ago, with being neighbours at university in their Wilfrid Laurier residence - this gave them each the fair opportunity to see the best and worst of each other before starting to officially date. 

Along the way, they became teammates and learned how to win and lose. These two know, being teammates is a lot like marriage, it requires effective communication, coordination

Thank you both for letting me be a small part of your big day!

It is pretty sweet when there are circles of friends that give a nudge to the universe to make this happen, you can believe it is all part of the way life is supposed to roll out for you. One never knows when and how our soulmate will appear to us.

Meeting that special  someone is magic, falling in love is magic, being here today to celebrate your love and the home that you have created… that is not magic but is truly the result of hard work, hard choices, deep commitment, loyalty, patience, and a lot of understanding. 

They know that It is not the home they love but the love that's shared there that is important. Which is why it was the absolute perfect spot for Shawn to propose to the love of his life, and for Madison to say yes, I will spend the rest of my life with you. 

Thank you Madison and Shawn for the pleasure of leading you through the ceremony gateway of marriage.... you are both so lovely!

Sometimes, for some people, something very ordinary - such as a fun night out with friends to let loose a bit can magically become something extraordinary. One moment you are waving over to your friend and the next, your eyes meet someone special and then your soulmate steps right into your life. Well maybe he leaves the bar, comes back, leaves, asks you to dance… and then… finally he took his chance to use his best pick up line for the first time: “You know, I am an aircraft maintenance engineer” - well that worked out pretty well for him, but it turned out that he never got to use that line again.

Thank you Taylor and Bryan for the honour and pleasure of standing with you and leading your ceremony as you shared your hearts to become husband and wife.
