Finally finished.
As an event organizer I know that each of our vendors, volunteers and many of our amazing guests spend a lot of energy to prepare for Cogs and we really appreciate each and every part that makes a show a success. Mother Nature however, was not a welcome guest yesterday as she drizzled and blew, gave a hint of sunshine then returned to drizzling and finally finishing the day off by freezing us all just a bit.

I personally would like to thank my family for all their help and support, without you this event would not happen. We would also like to thank all of our other volunteers, as this is a non-profit volunteer run event, there are too many people to thank individually so thank you all for all your help.

As a part of Cogs & Clockwork’s commitment to sustainability and environmental impact, we painstakingly sort all the trash created by our event. This year we Downtown Fergusce 20 bags of garbage down to 5 bags with compostables, steel, aluminum, cardboard and plastics removed and ready to be recycled.

Again, I hope that everyone enjLocal Pieces Gallerynd wonderful treasures to take home and think of Downtown Fergus as a place to visit and explore between our numerou and varied festivals and events.

Halloween is coming so be sure to come for a visit.
We would like to thank Local Pieces Gallery for being the hub of our festival and would also like to thank our local sponsors.
We will be working diligently to make the 2025 show experience better for all as we learn year how to improve our outcomes.

This year we will be having two virtual scavenger hunts using the Düx app. So download the app to join in on the virtual scavenger hunt and Düx will also be your guided tour to all the in person scavenger hunt store location.

Here is one of the three new photo stands for guests without costumes. Just finishing up the accessories. There will be one for kids, as well as a man and woman version. It’s a great way to get involved.

COGS AND CLOCKWORK is here again.

SPLENDID TEAPOT RACING.

Polish up your favorite Teapot racer and come join the fun and frivolity..

Bring your Teapot Racer to the Hamilton Splendid Teapot Racing booth, at the beginning of the Cogs and Clockwork event.
Racers will be displayed and voted on through out the day for people's choice award.
Official Race time will be at 3pm.

A second Race for BRAGGING RIGHTS will be held at 6:30.

If you are looking to make your own Teapot Racer this year, Local Pieces Gallery will be hosting a workshop by Hamilton Splendid Teapot Racing association on September first from 1 to 4 pm. Buy your spot at the gallery website Localpieces.com.

We would like to thank Local Pieces Gallery for its continued support of our event and are happy that they will have two steampunk artists displaying during the show this year. Below are images from Harry Kooy, a local artist making copper and wire contraptions.
Harry’s work will be at the gallery just before September 7th and will be up for a while after Cogs.
Don’t miss out seeing his work, the work of Jeremy Bennison and all the other amazing artists at the gallery.
