It’s that time of year again!!! It’s Holiday Mini and GIVEAWAY time!!!

This year I’ve got indoor minis in Sparwood and outdoor minis in Elkford and Fernie! Every date and location will have some gorgeous holiday magic added by the incredibly talented .bc

I am still trying to wrap my head around how beautiful this fall was/still is. This engagement session with J&R was intensely gorgeous and on one of the last truly warm days where tank tops were not only tolerable but preferable.

I giddily jumped around like a weirdo after I captured this one (I actually did, I’m not joking). This is a 100% in-camera lens flare with the dreamiest couple doing their thannggggg in front of my camera. 🥵🔥

Travel and adventure are at the core of Megan & Tom’s relationship. So much so they even named their adorable Golden, Roamy - because they can always be found roaming from one place to the next.

Fernie and were an instant ‘YES’ when they were searching for their perfect venue. They knew the beautiful, intimate gathering place at the lodge was the perfect place to welcome their family and friends, who all travelled from out of the country!

I had the absolute privilege of spending the entire weekend with them and their family and friends. Here is a preview of the first part of their wedding day ♥️

Paige & Randy have been together forever, 13 years to be exact! They decided they wanted to throw a little shin dig and make it official this summer.

While planning their day they didn’t overthink anything which I really admired, and is something that’s hard to not do! They hired vendors that they trusted to just do their thing, which we did, and it was great! The result was a laid back lead up and ex*****on of the day that was so perfectly them.

The florals by .bc were perfection and we were obsessed with the mini strawberries that were included in every piece! Lynn Rogers put together an incredible ceremony ♥️ Paige had shoes but ran around barefoot most of the day. Every little moment of the day came together as such a beautiful story.

I’m also so stoked to have finally gotten out to for an elopement! It was the perfect spot for these two and I look forward to the next time I get to document a couples love story there ♥️

Larissa and Davis are the perfect sporty pair for each other. I love their ‘yes man’ attitude and wow, do they ever know how to keep a dance floor absolutely packed!

Their wedding day in the mountains was laid back, so much fun, filled with people that care so deeply for them and oh so gorgeous!

Choosing the photos for sneak peeks was hard. I can’t wait to share more from the reception!

Oof, seriously where do I even begin with this one.

Daliya and Matteo first inquired with me in 2021. They said they were from Ontario and knew they wanted to elope somewhere out west, make a whole day of it, but weren’t sure where and wanted my input. Truthfully, I thought their inquiry was some sort of scam but I had to make SURE it wasn’t because what a dream!!

Well, they were very much real! It was such a joy getting to know them through the years that we legit felt like old friends once we met that morning at 4am, getting ready for their sunrise ceremony.

It’s funny, we spent a lot of time curating the perfect timeline and activities for them, and when the day came we were hardly on track for any of it 😂 But! We had chatted enough that we were able to take the day as it came, rolled with the punches and it came together absolutely perfectly because we knew their priorities.

I was pinching myself every few hours because it was all so good that I didn’t think it could possibly be real. The vibes were vibing. The good times kept coming. At the end of the day Daliya said, ‘I knew eloping was the right decision for us. But who knew it could be THIS good?!’ and I couldn’t agree more.

This was my very first full day adventure elopement and it won’t be my last. I LOVE wedding days and thrive in the the beautiful chaos of it all. But I also fell deeply in love with the planning and ex*****on of a full day elopement, tailoring it to the couple every single step of the way ♥️

Pure joy. Boundless love. Endless laughter. Genuine care and appreciation. These were some of the themes of Trent and Cam’s wedding day at the always incredible

The forecast called for rain every single hour of the day when we woke up that morning. But the universe knew Trent and Cam needed a wedding day as bright and vibrant as their love for one another, and that’s exactly what they got. We had a total of 15 minutes of rain before the reception!

Every time I have the privilege of photographing a couple’s wedding at the Hillside Lodge, it feels like going home. Golden is the closest thing to a second home for me these days and the Hillside holds such a special place in my heart because Mike and I got married there 7 years ago.

I don’t have the words to properly describe the joy that was all around us on Trent and Cam’s wedding day. Every single person there was warm and loving and kind. It was one of those ✨feel good✨ days where everything feels right in the world ♥️

Words cannot properly describe how perfect this day was. Every moment and experience seemed to be simply ‘meant to be’

The cherry on top was the rainbow that formed over Nicole and Alyssa during our portrait session. They had already incorporated a few rainbows and pride flags into their day so a natural one showing up was so serendipitous.

I can’t help but get all the warm fuzzy feelings when I look through their sneak peek photos. I’m so happy for these two and the love and support they were surrounded by on their wedding day. And I’m incredibly honoured to have been chosen to document it for them ♥️

There are so many core memory moments from Molly and Tara’s winter wedding.

One of them being the three of us literally singing and skipping in the streets of downtown Fernie (first photo). If you know me you know I do not sing, so you know we were all vibing!

Another one was their entire ceremony experience. From the string lit ceremony at Alpine Lodge, with their guests surrounding them, to their sparkler walk down the aisle at the end, and then to finish it off, after their guests had filed back into the Lodge, Molly and Tara sat on the rug, where they got married only moments before, and soaked in the moment. It wasn’t planned, it happened naturally and I snuck a few photos before leaving them to enjoy their moment alone ♥️

Their day was overflowing with personal touches that deserve a blog post to go into detail about.

Ugh, I LOVE weddings. And Tara loves, love - just like Terry from Brooklyn 99.

is the perfect place to pop the question. Even better when you’re blessed with a blue bird pow day!

Our time together was short, Kelly and Cale didn’t want to miss out on the pow but the planning took weeks between Cale and I. Emails back and forth with fake headings to ensure Kelly wouldn’t catch a glimpse of anything about a photographer. He had a vision and we brought it to life. The sign was mailed to me ahead of time, I figured out how to hang it up 15 feet in a tree so it was visible, and I made sure I was hidden to not raise suspicion.

I absolutely understand why people get flustered when proposing. My heart absolutely RACES while I wait but it makes me feel so alive!!

We have the giveaway winner for a mini session during one of my mini sessions days!!! Thank you so much to everyone that has entered the giveaway and I’m so looking forward to my minis in a couple of weeks! 🥰❄️🎄

A fun couples session twist on the boiling water toss in freezing cold temps! ❄️ We knew if we wanted a sunny day for this session that we’d have to bear the cold. Fernie is rarely sunny in the winter unless it’s pretty cold out. And bear the cold we did. -30 degrees C to be exact. We all agreed it was worth it though!
