You know what is tiring? Constantly having to defend our rights. Constantly having to tell people we are real and we exist. I can't say it enough. If it doesn't affect you but you're mad about it, that s**t is inside of you......so you better get a shovel and start digging deep. It's the only way to free yourself. Why is it that the world can give 2SLGBTQ+ folks the rights that everyone else has and then suddenly take it away? Drag has been fine since long before I knew I was q***r and now suddenly, it's being banned? Trans people have always existed (yes, they do) and yet extremists are entirely angry about this "new concept." Gender was a construct created to control women. Non-binary genders have existed throughout history (in many cultures) and have also been continually denied throughout as well; this is a battle we are still fighting. It's tiring having to research a place before we visit, hoping that we can access things in a part of town that is "2SLGBTQ+ friendly." If you ever ask yourself why we need a Pride, think of these reasons and thousands more. If you don't walk the road, let me be your gps here. Our rights are not the same rights that "everyone has" because ours can be taken away.

HAPPY SUNDAY PARTY PEOPLE!

So guess what?! P!nk just dropped a new banger.....so naturally, I am gonna talk about it.

If you know me, you know. I have been the biggest P!nk fan since the day her music first graced my ears. I was just entering high school and s**t was getting more and more real. P!nk always had words for how I was feeling. She helped me make sense of the deep s**t in all of those little moments I couldn't quite describe quite yet.

In my life, right now, I am feeling isolated and afraid to get close to people. Even when I do get close, I question things often out of fear of getting comfortable and having it ripped away. It's a long history of trauma that I am dealing with and I am hoping I can close the chapter on it soon because I want the story of my life to go somewhere. I don't want to be stuck.

And in comes P!nk with these words. Always at the right time. Many think I have a die hard crush on P!nk. The reality is that I would love to sit in a room with her and just chat. Because I feel that after all of this time, she is more like a friend that has always provided me some of the best advice I have ever had.

So here is to P!nk and here is to healing. And here is to all of you

Thank you so much to The Deep River Q***r Connection for having me out to play this evening. Deep River has consistently been one of my favorite places to DJ. The q***r community there seems so united and so very, very welcoming. I was blessed, once again, with a crowd FULL of fun, dancing and laughter. Hate is bubbling up in the world. It's a scary place for lgbtq2s+ people. The only way to chase the dark is with light. After attending the protest in Renfrew yesterday, I have a restored faith that light and love will win again and again❤
