We're excited to be hosting Sarah Hagen in February.
Often referred to as the next Victor Borge, Sarah has transformed her award-winning role as concert pianist into a stand-up, or rather, sit-down comedy performance. Pairing anecdotes with music, “Perk up, pianist!” takes audiences deep inside the world of a classical musician as she shares her earnest efforts to keep her spirits up in the midst of troublesome times. “Perk up, pianist!” tells the tale of a touring classical musician remaining optimistic in the midst of challenging and ridiculous situations.

Happy Birthday to CSAC's own Tim Boreland! Tim turned 70 this weekend and we celebrated today with cake and treats!
We couldn't be more excited about this winter workshop! Join Fredericton fibre artist Karen LeBlanc on Saturday February 22 and take part in her very unique workshop, Branch Out and Weave for Climate Change.
This workshop was originally created during Karen's residency with the Conservation Council of New Brunswick's Community Engaged Artist in Residence and Mentorship Program, From Harm to Harmony.
Karen will be your guide on this hands-on exploration of branch weaving, where you’ll uncover techniques that transform nature’s elements into expressive works of art. As we delve into this unique art form, Karen LeBlanc’s expertise will illuminate the process of crafting beautiful branch weavings. Each creation becomes a powerful metaphor, illustrating our interconnectedness with nature and emphasizing the delicate balance essential for a sustainable future.

Terra Spencer plays the Charlotte Street Arts Centre this weekend.
Saturday November 2 at 7:30 p.m.
Raised on the mud banks of the Avon River, Nova Scotian funeral director-turned-songwriter Terra Spencer draws you into a knee-to-knee conversation in a room of 5 or 500. With her butterscotch vibrato, deft fingerstyle guitar, church bench piano, sly humour, and ‘70s wood-paneled warmth, Terra has performed at many of Canada's premiere folk festivals and charmed audiences in the UK and Germany. Her startling knack for telling intimate stories has led to Juno-nominated songs recorded by David Francey and Matt Andersen. She has become a sought-after studio musician, co-writer, producer, and workshop facilitator.
