They had gorgeous weather, a visit from some orcas, the most beautiful West Coast scenery, all the love and support from their loved ones that witnessed their emotional ceremony, and of course marrying your best friend! ❤️

It was so hard to fit this incredibly heartwarming, emotional and joy-filled intimate oceanside wedding into 10 slides.

Catherine + Reid created such an intentional and meaningful day for them and their loved ones and it was so beautiful to see the love and connection shared throughout the day with everyone.

A few of the many things we loved about their day
—Reid + his family getting ready in his grandfather’s cabin on Bonniebrook Beach. A place that holds a lot of dear memories.
—During their toasts R + C made sure to express their love and gratitude towards each person and their words were so heartfelt that everyone there including us had tears in their eyes.
—At golden hour everyone went for a walk along the promenade to the family cabin and spent some time soaking in the dreamy sunset together. (Can you spot the kitty in the window?)
—Reid serenading Catherine on his guitar with a song that he sang to her when they first met.

This is why we love small intimate weddings and elopements so much. Time for space and intention to create meaningful moments and presence with your loved ones and each other.
Without all the distractions and stress there can be more joy and connectedness found.

I just finished designing a gorgeous wedding album for S + L and it was such a pleasure to create it for them.

S + L’s Sea to Mountain Tofino elopement was so incredibly beautiful and it will be amazing to see it in print in a handmade heirloom album from ❤️

Stefan & Lindsey traveled all the way from Washington for their engagement session with us here on the Sunshine Coast.

We were so excited to take them to a few of our favourite spots in the beautiful Sechelt Inlet.

We lucked out with an absolutely gorgeous evening!

Brian and I had such a wonderful evening getting to know them and capturing such a special time in their lives. We’re excited to see them again on their wedding day in April at the Sea to Sky Gondola. ❤️✨

2023 was an incredibly beautiful year!

To all the wonderful couples who invited us into their lives, thank you. Thank you for allowing us to witness and document such an important and meaningful time in your lives.

Beyond just capturing beautiful images, what truly makes our journey as a photographer so special is connecting with couples on a deeper level. Hearing their stories, learning about their connection, and about the obstacles they have overcome has been a meaningful experience in so many ways.

Brian and I can't help but feel grateful for the connections we formed and the growth we've experienced. Being an elopement photographer on the West Coast of BC has brought us closer to nature's wonders and the breathtaking landscapes that surround us. It has allowed us to witness the awe-inspiring power of love against the backdrop of BC’s coastlines, lush forests, and mountains.

We are also so grateful for the amazing and talented vendors we had the privilege of working alongside. Every vendor played a crucial role in making these days truly magical.

Brian and I look forward to the new adventures that lie ahead, and to capturing more heartfelt stories that will forever be cherished.

Emily + Mike’s Sunshine Coast Elopement ✨

The day started out really rainy but luckily Emily + Mike’s ceremony was in the lush rainforest in Roberts Creek. Close to the end of the ceremony the sun started to come out and shine magically through the trees and the rain slowly stopped just in time for us to go for a walk on a gorgeous cliffside overlooking the ocean for golden hour photos.

We always recommend evenings for elopements especially in the summer as it’s when the light is the softest and most flattering.
