Appin BBQ Service & Catering will be providing the delectable beef for our upcoming Roaring 20's Gala Dinner ( June 11) - motorbandits.ca (https://fb.me/e/1OnInKFTv) Get an early taste by ordering from their 1st BBQ feast of the summer, being held this Friday.

You asked and we answered! We'll be doing our BBQ Feast Menu once a month till the end of September.

Our first one is for Friday May 20th - let's kick off the long weekend! Pickup is between 2 - 6 pm.

This will not be a drive thru. You will need to go into the store if paying at time of pick up. If you don't want to wait in line you can pay in advance and we'll have a table set up outside to pick up your meal.

Please note we are not offing the BBQ'd beef as noted in the graphic - sorry!

History Wednesdays
An Educational Program by Golden Gryphon Historical Entertainment

Golden Gryphon has been bringing Historical Educational events to Southwestern Ontario since 2004. Normally we bring our entertaining hands-on events to Elementary Schools, but due to Covid we have not been able to share this amazing program.

So, to offer this curriculum based event we have set aside 1 day a week for 10 children to come to our farm. This program is designed for children ages 8 - 12. It will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Wednesday in August and September.

Highlights of the day:
The children will enjoy their historical learning at their own table, socially distanced from their fellow participants. We will be following the current Covid protocol.
They will learn about the Mesopotamians, Egyptians, Chinese, Mayans, Romans and Medieval Europeans. As they learn about these distant cultures they will discover what our local first nations people were doing in Southwestern Ontario.
Six learning stations call attention to Food and Agriculture, Architecture, Knowledge and Achievements, Religion, Entertainment, and Weapons and Armour.
The children will have fun as they build, discover paint and play. There will be many memory making activities.
At noon the children will be treated with a Medieval feast of Chicken, glazed carrots, bread and grape juice.
After their lunch, they will experience life of the Haudenosaunee, our first nations people. They will play games, make a shelter and explore and honour nature.
To end the day the participants will have a quiet activity of creating a Medieval Brass Rubbing. They will go home with a beautiful piece of Art, an image of a Knight, Lord or Lady or other ancient symbols.

Cost for the day $44.25 H.S.T. $5.75 = $50.00
