Evergreen Park is hosting its first East Coast Kitchen Party on Saturday, Feb. 15 in the TARA Energy Services Centre . . . and it will be a taste of the East Coast in more than one way.
Live East Coast music performed by the Derina Harvey band and traditional food, dancing and activities will highlight the night. Immerse yourself in the East Coast lively and welcoming spirit for a fun evening at Evergreen!
Local chefs will be battling it out in a competition to win the hearts, and stomachs, of everyone in attendance as they prepare different East Coast cuisine for your enjoyment. And you get to vote which chef did the best job!
The evening kicks off at 6 p.m. Cost is $79 per person and you can order your tickets below. The East Coast food competition goes until 8 p.m. and there will also be a late-night snack.
This event is a fund-raiser for Evergreen Park - a charitable non-profit that, under the umbrella of the Grande Prairie Regional Agricultural & Exhibition Society, has been part of the local area for over 110 years. Today's beautiful covering of snow as well as the Northern Spirit Light Show and Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation Festival of Trees makes it a true Winter Wonderland at Evergreen Park! Light show goes Thursday to Sunday 6-10 p.m. and then daily (except Dec. 25) same hours starting Dec. 5. Festival of Trees is open to the public 4-9 p.m. Thursday; 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Thanks to the City of GP and the Longmate Family there is no admission fee for anyone at this year's event.
