The Hickory Challenge

We provide NO COST Fund Raising for Charity Golf Tournaments using two on course events. WE PROVIDE THE EVENT AND THE PRIZES! AT NO COST TO THE CONVENOR.

The Hickory Challenge is a "Beat the Pro" event with a twist. A 1920's attired golfer using 100 year old antique golf clubs challenges the foursomes in your tournament to beat his shot, closest to the hole on a par three. Those that beat the Hickory Golfer get to enter their name in a draw for the prize at the end of the tournament. For the average golfer, the chances of winning at this event are

much greater than the usual "hole in one" event or "the longest drive" event. And, this event is unique and much more memorable. Our event is flexible and adaptable to the needs of the tournament convener.

The Hickory Challenge once again will be at the Donaleighs Irish Public House (9th) Annual Golf Tournament held at the Vespra Golf Club on (Monday June 14th, 2020) helping to raise funds for Gilda's Club,Simcoe Muskoka.

In support of the Barrie Colts Novice AAA team of the BMHA, the Hickory Challenge raised funds at the Novice AAA golf tournament at Tangle Creek Golf Club Thornton on Friday July 26th. As usual, a good time was had by all and monies again were raised for a good cause.

Last week, July 19th The Hickory Challenge help to raise funds at the Barrie Sharks Atom A Hockey Team Golf Tournament held at Tangle Creek Golf Club, a great time was had by all and many tried the antique hickory clubs.

Last month June 24th, The Hickory Challenge helped raise funds for Gilda's Club Simcoe Muskoka at the Donaleigh's Irish Public House Golf Tournament held at the Vespra Hills Golf Club. Another successful event thanks to Don at Donaleigh's Barrie.

A half dozen years ago while playing a round of golf with my antique hickory golf clubs it dawned on me that it was a unique experience that I wanted to share. Shortly after this revelation I was invited to a friend's charity golf tournament, it was here that the idea of raising funds for charities at golf tournaments came about. Since that time I have raised money for charities at:

The Keller Williams Edge Realty Charity Golf Tournament at the Carlisle Golf Club,
The Donaleigh's Irish Public House Golf Tournament at The Oak Bay Golf Club,
The Barrie Colts Minor Atom A Hockey Team Tournament at Tangle Creek Golf Club,
The Barrie Sharks Atom A Hockey Team Tournament at Tangle Creek Golf club.
