Dear GYS Community,

It is a bittersweet moment as we announce Marion Samuel-Stevens' departure from GYS. Marion has been an integral part of our team since 2006, serving as Vocal Coach, Conductor, and most recently as Artistic Director. Her dedication and leadership have been invaluable, helping to shape GYS into the thriving community it is today.

Marion stepped into the role of Interim Artistic Director at a crucial time, balancing numerous personal and professional commitments. Under her guidance, GYS developed new programs, increased community engagement, and successfully fulfilled a significant Ontario Trillium Fund Grant.

Marion, thank you for your nearly 20 years of unwavering commitment and passion. Your belief in the mission and vision of GYS has left a lasting impact. We wish you all the best as you pursue your future endeavors.

The GYS kiwanis Choir was busy this week rehearsing all together at the GYMC! 🎶

In case you didn't know, in collaboration with the Kiwanis Music Festival of Guelph, GYS is organizing a mass regional choir that has over 100 participants signed up from various local elementary schools! This choir includes all GYS choristers and will be performing at the Kiwanis Music Festival on April 23 and the GYS Spring Concert on May 25!!

We are so excited to have the opportunity to provide a unique musical experience for young students, foster a love for choral singing, and promote collaboration among schools in the region!
