Two beautiful holiday concerts, and lots of fun at the Guelph Santa Claus Parade.

Join the Guelph Youth Singers (GYS) for a magical evening of choral music as they present "Ring in the Snow!" on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 7:00 PM at Harcourt Memorial United Church, with an online streaming option for those who wish to enjoy the concert from the comfort of their home.

Celebrate the season with an inspiring performance featuring three choirs: Choir I (beginning choir), Choir II (intermediate choir), and the Chamber Choir (advanced choir).

This concert is guided by the artistic vision of Emily Petrenko, Artistic Director and leader of the Chamber Choir, alongside the dedicated contributions of Marlys Neufeldt, director of Choir I and Choir II, and Derica Scott, their talented collaborative pianist. Together, they promise to warm hearts and fill the air with holiday spirit.

In addition to the concert, attendees can enjoy a bake sale, reception, silent auction, and a 50/50 draw. Proceeds will support Guelph Youth Singers and their mission to nurture young voices through an inclusive and supportive musical environment where youth in our community can learn, build confidence, and share in something bigger than themselves.

Dear GYS Community,

It is a bittersweet moment as we announce Marion Samuel-Stevens' departure from GYS. Marion has been an integral part of our team since 2006, serving as Vocal Coach, Conductor, and most recently as Artistic Director. Her dedication and leadership have been invaluable, helping to shape GYS into the thriving community it is today.

Marion stepped into the role of Interim Artistic Director at a crucial time, balancing numerous personal and professional commitments. Under her guidance, GYS developed new programs, increased community engagement, and successfully fulfilled a significant Ontario Trillium Fund Grant.

Marion, thank you for your nearly 20 years of unwavering commitment and passion. Your belief in the mission and vision of GYS has left a lasting impact. We wish you all the best as you pursue your future endeavors.
