** Steel My Heart Weddings Update **

I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for the love and support you have shown me over the years.

Next year marks 15 years of wedding planning and I have made the difficult decision that it will be my last. My love and passion for this industry still holds strong but it is a very demanding role and has taken quite the toll on my body (turning 40 was no joke).

The past two years not only held many challenges associated with the pandemic but also in my personal life and although it’s been very tough, it has also taught me so much and given me a new outlook on life.

I will not be taking on any new clients but I look forward to two more years of beautiful weddings as I support my wonderful couples getting married in 2022 and 2023.

As you may or may not know, my wife, , started a Virtual Assistant business Steel My Tasks two years ago after she was unable to return to her previous role as a Studio Manager. I have slowly been helping her out where I can, but look forward to continuing to grow this business with her.

Pop the champagne! Not only does Ontario move into Stage 1 of the re-opening plan today, but we have a wedding tomorrow! We still have a ways to go, but this week feels a little more normal! 💕

Coming soon.... a new name, new branding and new website!
So excited to finally share this little secret! The name came shortly before our wedding and the chat about me taking Katlyn’s last name. Katlyn also started her own virtual assistant business last May Steel My Tasks and I love seeing our little businesses have similar names.
A rebrand has been something I’ve talked about for years but never made it a priority. This year felt like the right time, everything has slowed down again with the current situation and I have been blessed with the time to finally jump in. Big shoutout to My Wolf Design for making this process so easy and fun!
Keep an eye out over the next few weeks as my socials get updated and the new website gets launched.
I still have one other big secret that I’m not quite ready to share yet... but trust me, it will be worth the wait!.

Oh hey there! Remember me? It’s been a minute since we posted (ok a lot longer than that)
To say things have been a little crazy around here would be an understatement. We have some new fabulous clients, lots of talk about the second (and third) round of postponements, trying to navigate the forever changing restrictions and just life in general in the middle of a global pandemic.

About last night…The official end to 15 years. A night filled with hugs and (happy) tears. One last 2 AM drive thru for french fries and the final unloading of my kits. Hundreds of couples, thousands of guests and a lifetime of memories. These photos are just a few of the many moments I will carry forever and there are so many more of you that I wish I could include. This responsibility is such privilege and I am beyond honoured to have had such a fulfilling career in this industry. It’s both mentally and physically demanding. It’s dirty jobs and heavy lifting. It’s time away from friends and family. It’s early mornings and late nights. But it’s also so rewarding. It’s so full of love and appreciation, and it’s pure magic being able to support someone’s favourite day. As with most small businesses, you only really get to know the face and not the tremendous support behind them. I have had the opportunity to work with and learn from so many rockstars in this wedding world and I’m so grateful for the support they gave to me while supporting my couples. I am thankful for everyone that has pitched in when I needed a hand and never put up a fight when we got thrown some curveballs. Katlyn - thank you for joining me on this wild ride and always being the most supportive cheerleader every step of the way. You have always been there behind the scenes and often don’t get appreciation for how hard you work. I can’t thank you enough for always being there to set me up for success. There are just not enough words to properly thank all of you for trusting me to play a small part in your best day ever. It’s a role I have never taken for granted and have so much love for you all. I will forever be thankful for each and every one of you and it’s been my absolute pleasure to celebrate with you for the past 15 years.
